Right stick switching is broken in this game,i have spent over 60 hrs of practicing right stick switching, from playing squad battles to get used to all the directions and mechanic's of switching, but yet i go into online competitive game's and you try to right stick switch and the game purposely ignores your commands because of the constant broken gameplay mechanic's and online connection issues that tend to effect slot of players who aren't lucky enough to leave close to the dedicated servers,do you have any type of solutions to helping out my player switching issues for its very frustrating spending hours of your time practicing something and then it doesn't work for you in online matches

Switching by L1 is more better than analog stick just get a little practice for L1 and try to keep switching fast through players (spamming), I use analog stick just in specific times while the opponents are inside my box but usually I prefer L1.

A recent update has made it possible to display the controller via the settings, even with 2 options. First option: Show only local input, option 2: Show local and online/server input.

Switching your defenders interceptions to conservative in player instructions can help if you're struggling also.

Downside is they're not aggressive enough challenging if a ball's played through. Useful sometimes to switch the fullbacks to conservative.

@@phil2877 alright. I'll try it out. I'm a PES player who started playing FIFA from '18. So I'm adjusting from systemic defending in PES to the manual defending in FIFA. Seems the game FIFA20 AND FIFA21 has given too much emphasis to attacking AI over defensive AI. It seems to favour attacking as defending is more manual than attacking. But hey, I'm learning. Currently in Div 3 in Online Seasons. I don't like FUT. Yuck! 🙈🙈🙈

@@EmmanuelIwhiwhu yeah it's massively different to PES, I play both too. Not too bad once you get used to it though. Don't dive into tackles unless you're sure and try to keep your team in shape as best as possible so gaps don't open up. Holding down L2 to face the attacker and just waiting for them to make a move/mistake is usually the best course of action.

@@percyxl7752 it all depends on their dribbling stats. Best way is to maximise pace while dribbling is to double tap sprint to knock it in front of them. If it's in Ultimate team a defender may have 'shadow' chemistry style which will increase their pace a lot also.
