I probably should have been more specific. I guess these are all just annoying quests rather than "hard" ones (except for the ones where if you die you lose your progress). I forgot about pest control too. That one is probably more annoying than long road. Also, if you are struggling with these quest I recommend reading some of the comments, they give some good advice for how to do them. As someone who hates lighthouse with a passion, I go to lighthouse and spend the entire raid there for long road. I got 11 out of my 15 the first raid for the task this wipe.

Psycho sniper and tarkov shooter 8 are the hardest in my opinion. All the other tasks I can pretty much slowly grind but these 2 are toughest for me since you can’t die

Never had issue with PS or TS8 but I primarily play snipers because it’s fun for me. It’s all just map knowledge and patience and just being okay with nothing getting done in a raid-I’ll go 3 raids without a kill but when you get 3 in one raid it’s a rush.

Yeah, if you don't start early it gets harder as more people don't play certain maps or the pvp is close range and you have to try to win getting a headshot against an ak that is hit punching the F out of you.

@shock226 plating on pve before they made the ai changes this was quite easy as they would only spawn in specific spots and not move. So on customs, they would spawn at ruaf for example so easy headsets. Now it's alot harder as they roam

The Guide on PVE is interesting depending on what order you do them in. I started on the maps that Goons spawn at currently because to do one of those toward the end and get clapped would be heartbreaking. My order was Shoreline, Customs, Woods, Lighthouse, Streets, Ground Zero, Factory, Labs, Reserve, and Interchange. You can get pretty lucky and spawn right next to an open exit and just do the 7 min timer, and always pack your paracord for the maps that have those exfils too.

As a labs main I still struggle with the Samples quest, it get so frustrating its like the game makes sure the item doesn't spawn when you need it.

Samples feels really easy if you just run lighthouse and check that shipping container drug lab, people rarely loot that.

If you do Jaegers Task "Hunting Trip" you unlocked the .338 Bolt action you can then craft FMJ at the workbench, that is what I plan on using for those sniper tasks. Last wipe I did the guide solo on my second attempt, I did factory first then labs since that's the hardest for a solo I then did the other maps at night time.

I love that sniper. Very fun for close range shenanigans too. Other than it having less drop, most of the sniper quests require headshots so it doesn't really matter what you use (as long as you are using ammo that can pen level 4 helmets).

I feel like Pest Control should be mentioned here, when I havent found any scavs on the ground (as quest says) by the barracks i walked underground and killed them in the specific spot where the food storage ends and the ramp with closed gates begin. Based high on luck.

I agree even when you go in with no armor they don't spawn, and it is sometimes hard to get them in the two buildings. I must have forgotten about it when making the video because that task would be on this list.

Pest control and safe corridor have a really easy way to "cheese" them. Basically just sit in the basement bathroom of one of the pawn buildings and fire off a shot every minute or so. Slowly scavs will start wandering down the stairs right in to your path. You won't get very many scavs in the first 20-30 minutes of the raid but once you get down to 15-10 minutes left there are usually a ton of scavs. I did that and finished it in one raid, and then I ran over to the garage for safe corridor and also finished that, there were like 15 scavs walking around in the bunker.

scavs do spawn on the long road if you look away from it at specific times (assuming youre on pve or everyone else isnt looking), and the area for the task is bigger than just the road, it extends into the trenches and up the road to the cottage i believe

Quest 1 Longroad: You have to run Lighthouse so often for other quests. There is no problem at all getting 15 Scavs on the road. Time plays for you. Just wait a few minutes before hitting the road. The bigger problem for me is the Overpopulation quest, where you have to kill 12 Scavs at the cottages. Either they didn't spawn or they're dead already. Quest 2 Setup: Agree completely. I always start collecting Ushankas from Scavs and keep them. At that point of the wipe it is hard to get descend ammo for the shoty. Quest 3 Shooter: It is annoying tha you have to do it with a sniper. 3 or 4 wipes ago you could to it with every gun you like. So you were able to collect shooter-kills in every single raid. With the limitation to the bolt action rifles, BSG forced the static game play. Player are camping at descend spots to get their kills done. Sucks. Honorable mentions: True. But with this quests you increase your bolt action skill. In the end this will safe you a lot of money for not beeing forced to do the Mentor quest. Imo Psycho sniper ist a quest exclusively for streamers and pros. I'm glad to be able to cheese this quest with my mates. Quest 4 Samples: No problem at all. Most of the stims will come with my scav case employee. The following quest is Terragroup Employee. This can only be done by owning the Blue marked card. It takes a while getting this one. Quest 5 Guide: I died 3 times by doing this one. This is my 9th wipe now. Just don't do this quest as a solo. Grab some mates or look for them in discord. At least 4 people and your chances in passing this quest will increase significantly.

I swear I never see them. Must be more at the end of raid they spawn more or something. That's when I find them the most. Last wipe it took me like over 8 raids to do it each taking like 20 mins or more. I don't find lighthouse fun at all and so it is a pain to do a quest where you just wait around multiple times in a row.

you get to see like 5 scavs at max in a single ligthouse raid on the main road, considering you get to spawn at the East side of the map and not get spawn killed. If you spawn at other parts, you are not gonna find scavs to kill on the main road. or worse, If you spawn by the lake, its pretty much soft lock.

This wipe I did most of the SBIH before tarkov shooter part 4. It's much easier to do in the begining of the wipe, later when there's not enough players it's just hard to find someone 80 meters away, and it's so agonizing, in fact I dropped this wipe after a lh raid with 3 bolt action headshots, and all at around 70-75 meters

Really spot on. Long Road is annoying but definitely those other snipers all take the cake for the #5 spot - I get they are all the same flavor of quest tho. I just got Kappa 2 days ago, I finished Shooter Born a couple weeks ago so it motivated me to go for the rest. The Guide: I agree with your pathing, now it’s 10 survives. Here’s the order in which I did it (and on my first try - very rare) Reserve > Lighthouse > Ground Zero > Streets > Customs (did these first 5 solo) > got 2 buddies to do the rest: Factory > LABs > Interchange > Woods > Shoreline. Always reward your friends for the help - these are the tasks where they will need to run at enemies so you can get to the extracts. I wouldn’t try fighting if you don’t have to. And bring a FLIR after LABs. I see it as committing further with gear as you progress. Therapist’s newly required Crisis task is a pain cause you now need 2 more LEDXs. Insomnia was the last one I had going, literally got the Mjölnir unlocked from killing Shturman before I got insomnia complete and that’s the gun I ended up using for the last 6 kills. Yep that was what I was running into, but apparently people are claiming abundant amounts of scavs and being able to get it done in 1-2 raids. It has always taken me like 8+ full raids to get it done.

No. I think the first wipe I started playing was either the last one that needed it or the first one that didn't. I personally don't think that quest is too bad on paper, but by the time you would get it people really don't go in the locations where you need the kills so I guess I could see why it was annoying. It is nice that the kills are in the resort now instead of the pier too.

Actually setup is pretty fun. Using shotgun on this map requires more tactical approach and it feels really good when you stalk and sneak upon a guy for like 5 minutes just to rush him and make everyone in customs hear that someone just got 1 more kill for setup (magnum is loud af) Also at the end scav players sometimes think that you are one of them xD

I usually like playing faster passed and hate playing against slow play, but some times I find my self frozen in place (usually if there is a large group or a really good player). Today I watched a chad kill 3 guys and a bunch of scavs with the setup stuff. I too was doing the quest and I watched him for like 3 minutes waiting for him to slow down. He was running like a chicken with its head cut off, running around 3 story dorms. Eventually he jumped in the building running into the place where I was. I killed him and I felt a little bad because he was loaded. He ran passed me like 5 times though so I am surprised he never saw me. I have become the thing what I sought to destroy.

I have always loved setup. Tarkov Shooter Part 7, and Hunting Trip used to always kill my run, they've both been changed now though. Actually most of these listed have been changed. Think long road is 8 now, and setup is also lower.

14x scope on sniper scav rock for hunting trip XD. I think you could get away with doing it with a red dot on top of the 14x. However you would have to hit a 75m shot with it which isn't crazy easy either. Yeah some of the quests have gotten easier and some have gotten a bit more grindyer now.

Long Road is a prefect example of a quest that changes player behavior. When LIghthouse first opened, people would actually go down the road (usually on the mountain side) to get from one end of the map to the other. Then Long Road came along and NOBODY with a brain goes there anymore. You just know after maybe a week into wipe there will always be one or more snipers watching the road every raid. The SCAVs seem to know too because they also rarely show up anymore. As to "why some tasks are so difficult", you have to get into the mind set of Nikita and crew. After years of playing this game (I stopped just before the Unspeakable edition came out), I came to understand that they are sadly making a game for the 1%ers. It means that some of the tasks are either intentionally hard or intentionally grindy so that only a very small percentage of players will ever get it done. Kappa is by all reports somewhere around 3% (maybe a little higher this wipe, it has run forever), and during a normal 180 day wipe cycle requires something like 20 -25 hours per week for the full wipe to get to. For someone with a life, a job, or full time school this is just not happening. Nikita seems to think this is fine. He is also fine with many of the tasks all but requiring that you run a 5 man. Even if you can run solo, the game is generally heavily stacked against solo players and doesn't reward them well for doing things. So for people who play alone or who don't like to run with other people (me, example) the game is infinitely more difficult, to the point of impossibility. if you run only solo and make it over level 50 on a normal wipe, you are effectively winning. I have run a little bit with other players and yes, the game is dramatically easier when you are in even a two man over solo. For what it's worth, Factory should be mandated solo, no squads. We will see what the new factory looks like, it might be better. Also, there is the question of poor quality AI programming. This is why you get the "kill Killa 100 times" because like anything else in the game, once you learn how to farm things it is easier. So instead of working to make the AI harder to deal with and less predictable, they just click on "grindy grindy mode" and make you waste days doing the same crap over and over. Again, these tasks as a result lean towards doing things as a group. So some tasks which are easy as a group are stoppers when you are solo, and some tasks are needlessly grindy.

Yeah I usually play solo most of the wipe because people I play with only do so for about a month after wipe. Playing solo is brutal when most people are duos or more. It is interesting playing with different group sizes because the game feels different based on your player count. Solo you feel like you are alone in some sort of single player game trying to fight against the whole world. With a duo you feel more like a tactical shooter type of game. With a trio or larger it feels like you are roaming with your team in Rust XD. Like you said if you are experienced the tasks are set out to be tedious and if you're not experience and/or don't have the time these quests seem impossible. I like your idea with factory too. Having all of factory to yourself except for one guy (although rare to see) is not fun to play against. Usually most people on factory are solos, but the random squads that you run into are especially annoying since you usually can't avoid them.

@@Gunner8_ The thing is, I understand very much that squads and stuff are needed to make the game inclusive, and to encourage friends to play together. It also makes for much better KZbin content. But coming up against a 4 stack while you are trying to complete a quest is super annoying. For Factory, this becomes very clear with Delivery From the Past. Usually getting the letter on customs isn't too bad, limited by spawn and stuff. But then going to Factory with it and it turns out it is you, and a squad or two... well, your chances of getting it done before you get killed is about nothing. It is harder in some ways with everyone solo, but requires more skill than luck. it is a difficult situation. That is early game too... It is a very, very different game as a solo. I often think that there should be a "solo bonus" when you do extract completely, or that the XP for a given quest or whatever is calculated by how many people were on your squad when you completed the task. So example, 10k for solo, 9k for duo, 8k for trio, and so on. Perhaps some tasks might even require to be completed as a solo, just to enforce it. You know, "I have this job, don't tell anyone, you need to do this one by yourself". Something to enforce it.

No it is 1080p. For me foliage seems very pixelated, maybe it doesn't show well on the video. I think it is just the look of the game. You can watch tutorials because shaders and other settings can make the game look better and if you do the right ones it can balance looks with performance.

Insomnia is easy on interchange and didn't take NightVision. Shooterborn at the Lighthouse on midwipe is trash. Setup the most early you got more easy due the level of timmy pmcs at customs. Samples with the spamming scavs is really easy (streets, shoreline with sanitar and lighthouse make it easy as well) The guide is nice at night time on 3-6 am in ur time zone .

A lot of quests in tarkov suck, an absolute ton of them are just completely garbage. Shooter born being difficult is a skill issue. Outside of the streets should be removed from the quest because bolt action hs kills on 15 frames is a nightmare the quest is easy.

It's not necessarily that it is hard to accomplish but it can takes a long time to do it. You can probably get 0-2 kills a raid on average doing it and you need 5 kills on 8 different maps (40 kills). Which means it will at least take around 20-40+ raids to get it done. Each raid probably takes at least 20 minutes meaning it can take you 6-12+ hours to do. So depending on how much you play and how lucky you are to find pmcs it can take a day to a week to get done. Which I mean it is meant to be just a background quest that you get over time but thinking about it this way it is definitely one of the most grindy quests.

I’ve got 3 quests left for Kappa, Stray Dogs, Eraser and Sellout and I’m stuck right now

If you are on eraser 1 you have to do 2 too which is just kill 6 raiders (labs or reserve). If you are on eraser 1 I like to sniper Gluhar from rook in the upstairs window on the rafters (only works if he is in the front). I guess you could try to rush him too if you find a gap (go from the side by the hermetic doors). For Sellout use flash nades to find where Killa is (I recommend to look up a guide because I forgot the spawns). If you go night time too, Killa's range is limited to I think within 60-80m. For the boys look up Goon Tracker and it will tell you which map the goons are right now (some times it is wrong since it's player inputs). For them you want them to push you. Any head to head engagement you will lose and the further the range the harder it will be for you. These mfs beam you even if you are 300m away. If it is 100% boss spawns the Goons will be on lighthouse. Good Luck Soldier 🫡

I guess that is true. It can be just one of those task you can kind of do in the background (which is kind of the purpose of it). I don't really find myself running by the road though or go look down there when I am normally playing lighthouse. I like to loot the houses up on the hill. It is an annoying one if that is the only quest you have to do for 5-8 raids in a row and they don't spawn. I guess I was just getting unlucky with it when I was doing it and it was the only quest I had to do at the time on lighthouse (when I was getting kappa a different time). I would say that pest control might be a bit more annoying that long road but it is hard to tell now, now that the AI has changed since the time of making this video, and I haven't gotten to these quest this wipe yet (not been playing much tarkov rn). Edit: If I were to remake this list long road and setup would be taken off due to AI changes/reduction in task requirements.

You couldn't have been more correct! It's because technically none of the quests are hard since you can keep throwing yourself at them. However, the one thing that you can't afford to loose is your time, so therefore the longer the quest takes the harder it is. At least that is how I see it. The only quests that take any skill are ones where you have to kill pmcs since you are facing other people and you don't know where they will be for sure. However one that seem easy like the one where you have to kill scavs on the long road are easy in theory but due to many factors it can take multiple raids.

Yeah night time is kind of OP for questing. When I got kappa my last quests were the sniper ones so I luckily was able to do them at the same time. For my last psycho sniper kill I went factory with the .338 sniper and just one shot a timmy XD

Yeah at this point in the wipe it might be harder because less people are playing and events make people play certain maps. It sucks that lots of people grind in the first few months and then stop playing (I do this so I can't really be too mad XD).

Honestly Test Drive part 1 is one of my most hated. Not as bad as Psycho Sniper, but that gun is stupid expensive to build and Lighthouse in general is just a dumpster fire. If forced to choose between Shooter Born, Tarkov Shooter 8, Psycho Sniper and Test Drive I'm not sure which one I'd choose.

Old test drive would definitely be on here (where you had to use the reap-ir). The scope you have to use for the new test drive is annoying to use, but not as bad as it used to be with how expensive the reap-ir was.

Wait, did they change it to a single map only? Last wipe when I got kappa, you could do it on every map. I personally didn't like using the reap-ir because of the distance requirement, the scope being naturally laggy because it has a refresh rate, and because I did the quest late wipe and everyone was everywhere doing there own thing and not going to a specific area. I lost like 3 of them too which I had like 20 million to replace them but I made no progress on the quest because the only kills I got were within 75m. Then again I think that was my first wipe too so that could probably explain that XD

Every quest that forces people to use X item are trash quest, specially since the whole charm of tarkov was the fact that you were free to play it how you wanted, now you go to maps and sometimes you end up fighting the same loadout over and over from people doing these quest.

Honestly old shooter is more enjoyable since you can use what ever you wanted +lower kill count and less maps. However to get over 100m on some maps you had to play pretty ratty whereas with the new shooter you could play hyper aggressive and just close range quick tap people.

@Gunner8_ because you play as pmc to complete quests you cannot late spawn , 100% of the time you spawn as early as possible, after 5 to 15 mins player scavs join in, I agree you can wait in raid for 15 minutes for the Chad's to off each other but it sucks because your hunger and thirst drop by that time.

I got a lot of my shooter born kills done with that. Very fun to play close up with a red dot and go for quick headshots. It has pretty high ergo for the sniper (I think the best out of the rest).

Long road isn’t that hard lol. Scavs that spawn near the 2 story house count if they are in the parking lot which can spawn 2-4 almost every raid. Plus there is a ledge on sniper rock where you can sit and see almost every scav that spawns in that area. Plenty of pscav will run the road to get to water treatment.

@@Gunner8_ I am not very good at the game so going to labs is just not an option right now. I'm level 46 and have actually completed the gunsmith questline along with 6+ scav rep. But so far I had no luck finding it through scav cases, raids on labs (I died anyway) and looting the 3 pharmacies on streets as they have a decent amount of stim spawns and medcases. I will try better next wipe, now is the time to have fun and run goofy kits for the remaining days

I literally have a video of me getting kappa on my channel XD. Also no way you are getting 7 kills a raid doing setup (was 15 kills at the time of the video). Even if you are good with how pmcs are you are only getting max 2 kills a raid because people are scattered. Also with how the scavs spawn you are not getting long road done in 1 or 2 raids. They don't spawn until late in the raid because mfs camp the road causing them not to spawn. Maybe I just have bad luck but I doubt it.

It was like a 300m full auto spray. That like tripled me all shots to thorax. I think they might have been using the ricochet hacks too since it looked like the bullets might have been bouncing off the rocks (I don't know if that is still a thing). I am 99% sure that was aim bot. This was with old recoil too. No one is able to control any weapon that accurately from that far. Not even a skill thing it is just that recoil is too random.

I don’t think the long road is a hard mission. Every wipe I’ve completed it reasonably easy in 1-2 raids. The best way I found was by sitting somewhere with a view of the bridge before the rogue camp. Near the little village with the bus station. Scavs spawn around there quite often

What time of wipe? I think my problem is I do it when everyone is doing Lighthouse quests which is nice for the pmc ones but the scavs never spawn/are already dead since everyone is camping the long road for pmc kills and other quests.

If i dont get a coast spawn or a spawn where i can get there easily i just go elsewhere and extract picking up a few bits of loot on the way. But i still go there now because PMCs usually run by so its usually a nice easy kill. I tried last night just to see and i got around 26 kills in 3 raids. I take food and sit and wait for scavs to spawn. They spawn near the convenience store and wander out onto the road usully

It was 15 kills and ushankas last wipe were very expensive early wipe (around 80k-60k). So early wipe the kit was too expensive and later into wipe shotguns kind of sucked due to good ammo being limited. There was a middle point were the quest was fine to do. These factors and the quest being put earlier in the skier quest line made me put it on this list during its making. If I were to redo the list for this wipe setup would not be on there due to ushankas being cheaper and the quest only being 8 kills now. TLDR: When I made the video the quest was more tedious and was a bit too annoying for its spot in the skier quest line.

Nothing really, but when this video was made (last wipe), shotguns weren't working properly. In the current wipe, everything is fixed, so now the quest isn't hard. Long Road used to be very easy, but the spawns have changed, so you need a lot more raids now. When the quest was new, you could get the kills in 1-2 raids. SBIH is always a pain, either you camp forever on a hill or now go into close combat with ergo bolts and hope for a one-shot before getting shredded by automatic fire. I never had an issue with Samples, though Lighthouse is my main map, so I had all the stims long before the quest. And that's the real downside of the quest-either you're a Labs or Lighthouse main, or you have a problem. Guide is ridiculous because of Labs. I hate that map, and in my first 3,500h in EfT, I played the map three times and got instantly killed by a cheater each time. That's the only thing that bothers me. I hate Labs, and Streets is a boring loot goblin map for me. But you have to play both.

If you can do all of this then yes it is easy. Maybe it is different now in the late wipe, but earlier on in wipe it is harder to do it. I don't like playing past like 1-3 months into wipe so idk at this point.

I guess it is not technically "hard." Personally I think the only hard quests are ones where if you die it resets your progress because with any other ones you can keep throwing yourself at it. Therefore, the ones that you have to throw yourself at it the most are hard. I guess long road should have been an honorable mention, but I was having trouble finding scavs and it took me lots of long raids to get it done. For me at least it was difficult for no reason, but looking back I feel like pest control is even more annoying to do (I just forgot about it when making the video). TLDR: No long road is supposed to be relatively easy, but due to low spawn rates on the roads, other pmcs killing them, and other pmcs camping the road and possibly killing you while you are trying to kill the scavs, the quest is harder than it should be.

Highly disagree. Shooter born in heaven if you don't do it early in the wipe you run into 50 str endurance chads that never linger or always have more stamina to run 1000m and hide so it's horrible, even in pve it was a bit annoying. Samples super easy and finished it on pvp the last 3 wipes without even going labs, if you go labs with keycards it's done in 2 runs. Setup is annoying but easy since everyone is doing it and everyone goes dorms. The long road, you can just kill scavs at the grocery store and construction gear at the end of the road, or sometimes have a horde spawn at night when you are alone and kill like 10 in one go, it's annoying but not hard enough to put here, plus you have punisher so you can do 2 quests at the same time. I would put the Punisher paca quest where I would get 20 paca back from insurance and end up running into chads or tagilla all the time. The quest to kill PMC in the office in Factory cause if you miss the wipe nobody will ever fucking go inside the office and most fights end in the corridors and you are sitting for 20 minutes in the office area alone, so this one would replace the long road for me. And then even in pve, killing Glukar which I never did before and I don't do Reserve much except for quests, one time the AI in pve stole my kill even tho I barely killed 6 guards that pushed me and I used a green stim which would happen in pvp a lot I assume. Then also the goons, that quest was horrible and I know you can kill one at a time but unless you know where they spawn for sure you will waste a lot of time and then get grenade launchered in the ass one tap. Birdeye will M61 you from 300-400m away even tho you have thermal and he doesn't. I feel like if you get the chad goons and you are solo, you have 1% chance to win or kill even 2 of them. If you get the dumb run at you or run into walls or into stones while not shooting, you will easily do it. I am not that lucky and I wish that would never happen anyway but I see my idiot friend always having this happen. I get shot by Reshala and his minions while they run for cover from my grenade, that's how aggressive they are for me, I had Tagilla run in, get shot once and ran out the door and then he would wallhack shoot at me in the office building. If Killa is needed for kappa I'd add him as honorable mention since he spawns few times and it's always some chad spamming flashbangs trying to kill him in 20 seconds and extract and also he's a bit of a beast if you don't get a good position. But you know, different players different playstyle and as mentioned above I am highly unlucky with chad bosses.

Test drive quests are the worst. Anything over 10 pmc kills is already an annoying quest (unless it is on like factory or customs). You can get like 2 kills max in a raid on a big map like Shoreline just because everyone is so spread out. By that time you probably don't have any other quest to do on Shoreline to so you are forced to grind it. Shoreline 20 kills with a trash gun + scope that you only can get every trader reset once is brutal.

Could be different times in the wipe, different AI, different wipes, I was getting unlucky, etc. It always took me 5+ long raids. The kill count got lowered for the quest this wipe so that is nice.
