Great video. Have the rebel and the Mach X 2. Ps. The Mach X 2 doesn’t have a carbon plate. Believe it’s a Pebax plate. Still a great shoe even though I’ve only done one workout in mine.

Do you consider Rebel V4 a better workout speed shoe than Saucony Speed 4? I really like simple speed shoes without plates. I have Speed 4 but I never bought the Rebel.

I have both and for me, the Speed 4 feels way better for speed work. I’ve tried some speed work in the Rebel, but to me it honestly feels best suited as an easy-cruising shoe

The Speed is more aggressive, because it does have a nylon plate, whereas the Rebel doesn’t. Comfort-wise, I chose the Rebel. We’re about to try and test the Speed 5, so stay tuned!

how about Nike AlphaFly 6 or Saucony Speed 4 or other shoes?

The Nike AlphaFly series is just at 3, and it’s a racing shoe, which would disqualify it from this ranking of workout shoes. The Endorphin Speed would fit, though. We are about to test their latest model. Stay tuned!

@marathonhandbook Rebel v4 fit too tight for around front, I probably need to go half size up. Evo SL, was okay but I want more lightstrike pro foam, so like to use Prime X OG instead. SL2 also was too tight around mid/front area - probably need to go half size up on that. But as u mentioned when I have SB2 and Prime X I dont think I will use Evo or Rebel v4

Is there a shoe that is made to work well with orthotics? Most shoes feel terrible with them. Or maybe I have the wrong orthotics. Gel Nibus is best for me so far

Alex here: I don’t know of a shoe made for orthotics, though it’s often said that orthotics wearers should avoid stability shoes. Because then, you’re running on too much correction. The Nimbus is a neutral shoe, so that would check out. That said, I’m not a podiatrist!

Im afraid of heights so none of those would work for me. My go to is the Asics Hyperspeed, a great do it all. And Tartheredge for 5, 10ks, Lyteracer. Im surprised, though, that the Hyperion wasnt on here.😮
