@6:05 I don't see the benefit of making sure to use your HWW a couple times per year just to make sure the firmware remains up to date. Why not just update when you actually need to use it?

If you go to use it in 10 years and you’re 20 firmware updates behind it might be difficult to do all those firmware updates. Sort of like going back and trying to update your iPhone 3 to iOS 17 (tough/impossible) Ultimately if you’re okay leaving it for a long time and the risk of having to recreate your seed to another wallet that works too but that’s on you

@ I have seen this happen several times with Trezors and Ledgers; when updating from really old firmware, sometimes the devices with malfunction and will wipe/reset. Not a huge deal if you have your seed phrase and it's correct but if not, you may be out of luck...
