Since I never got a vote here are my top 3. DVR- Fire Recast hands down. No monthly fee and guides are set up automatically and I can watch on my phone or tablet away from home at no cost. Love the system. Televes antenna by far and away better quality then anyone you had in your top three. Made in Spain and very popular in Europe. And I like fire tv for streaming mainly because it's what I have for the recast to work. Can't wait for the new interface to drop and check it out. Ok, done ranting. Have a great day!

I have both Antennas DIrect 2MAX & 4MAX combined with an RCA preamp/combiner, a Tablo Duel Lite and a Roku Premiere+ and I am very happy with the combination. The Antenna Direct antennas were the only ones that could get all my local OTA channels including the local ABC affiliate 5 WOI. With this combo all signals are in the 90%

I've used a few different Roku boxes and a couple Fire TV boxes and sticks, but I am still in love with Nvidia Shield TV for the complete app support and performance. Also, my new Tablo Quad is coming today to replace my Tivo Roamio OTA.

I am not sure what indoor antenna I bought but works for me. Tried three that failed. This one works on a room with just one window far from TV. No need to hang anything. The antenna is behind tv. Move around if station is fuzzy and clears up. P.S. It is the Amplified HD Indoor Outdoor digital Antenna bought on Amazon. Thing is don't need it for the main locals nbc, abc, cbs, pbs, cw and ion. Just use for a few sub channels and a local nobody offers channel 38 family greats. I got them on two services one being KZbin TV. It has all but Ion.

Will there be another wrap up that breaks it down by specific models? That would be more informative than just what the best like brands overall are, because that points to more of a popularity contest than showing what exact equipment people actually use.

For streaming devices, it's important to identify the target markets when rating things. Lumping Roku & Fire into the same bucket with Apple & Nvidia isn't fair. The latter devices cater to high-end market and the former have budget offerings. Another twist is what ecosystem are consumers in who purchase X? For example, I am a PC gamer with an Android phone ... hence I have an Nvidia Shield for all my TVs. And, my Dad, who is all-in with Apple products (surprise!) went with Apple TV ... and I even advised him to do that despite being a bit of an Nvidia fanboi. The point is, I think there may be some interesting nuances with this data that you could capture with your next survey.

I was a little surprised that Nvidia was in 4th. Guess people are unwilling to shell out 200 bucks for simply the best and most powerful streaming device.

@@jim5pie I agree. I guess those that aren't cheap enough to go to a higher scale will own an iPhone and hence got to an Apple TV device. Of course if you're a power user like I am, the NVIDIA Shield is the only choice.

I like the Chromecast brand because of the previous models. Roku as a brand is okay but my TV Stick overheats when the HDMI is plugged into a splitter. In third place is Amazon Fire devices. I finally got the new UI interface.

I have several devices including Roku. It it is much cleaner & faster than a Firestick. I just hate that I cannot upload apps. If I could do that, I would ONLY use Roku. Note that my main box is a Android 10 Transpeed box that I have added tones of stuff including the Wolf Launcher.

You can sideload most apps that are made for Android mobile devices to an NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV or TiVo Stream 4K. The Chromecast and Tivo are just as cheap as any other 4K streamers.

@@HonRevJoWazzoo There is a way. But this site won't let me mention it. Until they bring it up I won't. I follow a youtube tutorial. Device cost $160 and then I bought several streaming sticks and a power supply. Yes recordings are split into clips. Using a larger drive failed so external is just to save video. Can't do antenna with device. So would need a tablo for that. Only does fire tv, roku, chromecast and pc. It's not cloud based. But I record apps and streaming services.

The manual says 1TB - 8TB is supported. It also says no advantage in responsiveness with SSD (which is interesting).

I like my Tivo 4K, but I don’t use it because they don’t have an ATT TV app. I like KZbin TV, but I have ATT TV because it’s the only way to watch local sports. ATT, has a terrible interface, the worst DVR and is the most expensive service out there.... and I’m paying them every month for it, but the minute the NBA season is over, I’m dropping ATT like a bad habit.

I had to buy software or an app that this site would not consider legal and would be condemned. But I can see my baseball team and channels not on KZbin TV like The Weather channel and Axs TV and Me TV. I still pay. I also use it to see One America News and Infowars. Also get plenty of sports. If I wanted the msm channels are all there. And I get regional locals. Helps with nfl.

I do have a small Smart TV with Roku built in, and it's fine. Not having to deal with a separate streaming box makes for a clean install. But I still prefer the Nvidia Shield TV and it's awesome remote.

I don't know why Roku is on top, you stuck with what Roku decides you can have in apps, Fire tv you can sideload and the same with Nvidia

The only thing I liked about fire tv is even at the cheapest option the remote has a mute button. Comparing the fire tv stick to the Roku stick, the fire tv was slow as mollases. Roku has the better UI, and the features of their ultra device and remote are great. Any app not available on Roku I just cast from my phone or computer to my Ultra if I want to watch it on my TV so there is no need to sideload.

@@AlGoYoSu Why do so many people think that there are only 2 choices for streaming: ROKU and Fire TV. There are many others out there that are much better. I have an NVIDI Shield, 2 Tivo Stream 4Ks and a Chromecast with Google TV.. Of course my favorite is the NVIDIA Shield. It's well worth $100 more if you need the USB slots and memory.

I use both. More and more Fire has allowed or added the few services missing that Roku had like KZbin TV, Roku channel and more. But the device is low on space so can't fit everything. I have to research adding more space. So both are great. I sideloaded things on Fire I can't on Roku. I added the Fire TV to my Tcl Roku TV but my recorder doesn't work with tcl so bought a roku stick. Plus I have two more tvs. I did this before the latest chromecast came out or I would have considered it. I only have the older model bought in 2019.

@@1thinkhealthy I don't know how channel Master cant make the top five!? Go talk to KZbinr antenna man and see what he says! I can see it not been someone's favorite but definitely a top five always! Let's say what is the best gaming console and now we leave the Nintendo switch off the top five or Xbox series x or PlayStation 5. Like I said channel Master has always been known as the top brand.

I have wasted time and money on Channel Master antennas. In my opinion, they are the worst brand out there.
