This is such a easy lifestyle. It’s important to food prep. I cook and prep food twice a week. I wash and chop veggies for salads and I make sauces dressings and soup/ stews etc. I always have something ready to eat at home or veggies or dressings to take with me. My friends know I bring my own food wherever I go. If we go to a restaurant I bring my own dressing for my salad or sometimes a potato or beans to add in my salad and a bean or sweet potato brownie so I’m not tempted . Food prep is key. and REAL food is DELICIOUS. 😊❤

So glad you emphasized organic blueberries. My sister who lives in Oregon, lives a couple fields away from blueberry 🫐 fields. She said before they go to market, they have already sprayed them 3 times! 😳

These foods might generate a little bit of a glp-1 effect, but not enough that helped me lose weight. I am now on a Glp-1 med and finally seeing results! Plant based made me feel bloated and full but still starving at the same time. I could not get satiated, and it was horrible.

Sadly you left alcohol off your list of foods to avoid. Many people have incorporated the mellowing out that alcohol brings them at the end of the day. At least as bad as the Twizzlers in your vegan vs. mediterranean study. I managed the get the most overweight I have ever been on processed, fatty, hyperpalatable vegan food. I’m now back on track. I loved to hear that it is fat in muscle tissue that slows our metabolism down. Thanks for this inspiring talk! I have been eating healthy now for about a month and although I’m still slightly obese my blood pressure is down from 130-140/80-85 (I’m sure it would have been even higher, had I been eating non-vegan junk food like cheese and desserts made with cream etc.) to 119-110/76-65.

I appreciate all the research here. Obviously, many will completely disregard it because it conflicts with their preferences. 🤷♀️ I have done it all and WFPB is what has worked for me.

Been trying to lose weight now for 19 years and still cannot get down to target weight. It's depressing to think I might never lose the weight. Eat clean, don't drink, cut down on portion sizes, etc. Only works for so long and then it stabilizes.

@StancyTalk3 ай бұрын
One of the most important things for increasing your omega-3 is making sure that you don’t have too much omega six in your diet. The omega six hijacks the pathway that allows your cellular membranes to incorporate omega-3. So it’s not so much about getting enough omega-3 it’s about not getting too much omega six fats. a Food plant-based diet you aren’t eating overt oils. That goes along way towards ensuring you’re not overdoing omega six fats. Flaxseed, Chia seed and walnuts are favorable. You really don’t need to focus too much on omega-3 if you’re eating cool food plant based. Because like I said, you’re not going to be overdoing omega six. North America go wrong is they are eating lots of processed foods with junkie omega six.

It’s a complete fallacy that you need animal protein to build muscle. Take a look at Thomas Tadlock. Dr Brooke Goldner‘s husband he’s a vegan bodybuilder. take a look at Dr. Brooke herself, she is toned and slim. There are plenty of vegan bodybuilders.
