Bro for sure. When you actually play the game it feels fine. It's definitely slower than beta but lets be real, beta was obscenely fast, you literally just fly across the screen. This might be a little slow but it's definitely in better taste than beta. People just love to complain. Multiversus community is so toxic for no reason lmao

@@doug2555while I do agree it feels a bit faster in your hands - the issue comes more on the spectator side. the game definitely has a much slower viewing experience than any traditional or platform fighter.

I understand the initial criticism of speed, but the bad thing is that it causes many people to pretend that they even cared about it in the first place. Sometimes I feel that they do it more to join a herd than because it really bothers them. Just because other games are so fast doesn't mean Multiversus has to be the same, and I don't think it's bad that it has its own rhythm, like, sometimes you want to play a game without having to overdose on caffeine.

like i remember the game being so fast it would glitch out and make projectiles disappear and you would randomly get nuke shot across the map. i think the game being (just a little slower) honestly helps with performance and flow of the game

Fantastic stuff thank you for hosting and great casting by you and PJ. Really enjoying the gameplay of the MvS launch in both 1s and 2s. I hope they get the old controller settings back in to get rid of the ridiculously long input buffer. They said they were putting those options back in so we'll see. PFG has been posting a bunch of stuff on twitter on improvements based on feedback they are planning but we'll see if they come through. I just hope they don't remake the beta again, it was fun but exhausting and died in like a month.

Just gonna be honest here: even watching this pro gameplay, there are points where the slowdown is CLEARLY noticeable. The big issue people don't seem to address properly is, even if it still feels okay to play, if it isn't fun to watch it won't succeed. Multiversus WAS fun to watch, even if 2v2 was manic. The devs slowed down the ENTIRE game just so you can see the animations clearly in a game where you are going to animation cancel a lot anyway, and they only had 2v2 in mind. There is a difference between what the company thinks is right and what players and viewers want, and sometimes the best games are those where the devs stopped doing what THEY wanted and listened to the community.

My one complaint with some of these characters. You cannot be good at everything. If a character is a vertical god, why does it have fast projectiles that act has a hard deterrent for horizontal counter attack? Why the crutch?

iron giant has zero answer to most of the cast, with all of their fast/cancellable normals in the air and on the ground. And you see with this top level play, you just NEED to play the better characters to win, which feels bad. Bugs and banana guard are great, but you see the complete bs that is bug's combo game. You can see that the game's not meant for competitive play, where it's laggy, little defensive options besides dodge spam which doesn't work as expected with lag, and the almost infinites off of safe combo starters. Play it casual, have fun. That's all folks.
