I used to have an aggressive goat, he would headbutt me all the time but in his mind he was just playing with me. I ended up looking for ideas online for how to get him to stop and found out that goats hate being sprayed with water so I poked a hole in the lid of a water bottle and sprayed him when he tried to headbutt me and it would make him stop for a few minutes.

Yup, he's a happy goat, the tail was wagging as well which is the same with a goat as a dog. One more thing Matt, one of them is going to end up getting its horns stuck in the fence as they grow. The problem ther is not that (assuming they get checked on daily) but they try to shove their head back the other way, get it caught in the other direction and choke to death.

Matt, I grew up farming goats. We had a quarter-ton buck once. His name was Leroy Brown. Yes, like the song. He put holes in our barn and was wayyy too smart for his own good. He always tried unlocking the gate latches with his tongue! Well, I also know a man named Dave Beall. Dave has the strongest handshake I've ever felt. He'd help my dad with fencing and projects and I'd be at his house often enough to hang with Dusty, his son. Mr. Beall had a Corvette project car. My dad had a Triumph Spitfire project. One day, Leroy was bugging Dave terribly, trying to run him off and taking his tools. Dave had enough, grabbed Leroy by his horns, yanked him to the left and then twisted Leroy to the right with such force Leroy fell on his side in the dirt. He didn't like that, but learned his place and kept his distance from Mr. Dave Beall, the strongest man I know in Carroll County, MD.

We have boer goats and have seen many people try and break the boer Billy's from doing there natural behavior. The best way is to show you are top dominance. Grab his horns and rotate his head against his shoulder and he will come of balance and go to the ground. Then while on his back sit on him gently not to hurt him to show that you are the big one in town. I have done this from young one to old ones, you are just showing him that you are top goat in the pen.

I love this channel. You make fun at the end, but I enjoyed this story. Reminded me of my late husband. He used to pour me concrete slabs for my yard and gardens. Edging molds etc. He invested in a cement mixer. So much easier than wheelbarrows. We also had to rebuild the NW side of our first homes foundation. It was built in 1940 and was built on huge boulders. 😮 That was a project!! Much easier to build foundations before the home goes up. Just like your goat pen. lol I'll watch you mow the lawn too. You're entertaining no matter what you do. Thanks for sharing Matt. So, the boy goat may be trying to keep you away from his harem. He has a pregnant lady now. I don't know a lot about goats, but I do know they are stubborn as hell. Good luck Dr Carriker, the Veterinarian. 😂

I've used a mattock a lot. Matt, When you're swinging a mattock, put start with your right hand by the head, then slide it back down as you're swing. Less fatigue, more power. Reset your grip after you swing and pick the mattock up near the head. Again, less fatigue. Edit, char the handle with a torch, then coarse steel wool, then linseed oil. Easier on your hands.

Hey Matt, I raise goats also, and the buck will eventually get more aggressive. One rule we use is to NOT touch his head or horns unless absolutely necessary. That's the business end. You will have to show your dominance with him now though, and make him keep his distance from you and your family. The way I do it, is to flip him on his side, put your knee in his shoulder and tuck his head against his top side by your knee and hold it there til you feel his tenseness release. He will eventually give up, and once you have done that, you can let him up. He may try to test you again, but be persistent, and do the same thing each time til he decides he won't win, then he will keep his distance. These boer goats can get a couple hundred pounds and they can hurt you if you don't get your bluff in early. Hope this helps!

I run a concrete pump at extreme pumping out of schertz Texas, if you need a concrete pump out at the abandon resort or any of your other projects! Awesome seeing you work with some concrete!

There is a youtube channel of a guy that uses goats for pack hunting in the mountains. I recall he used spray bottles to deter the aggressive behavior. I also recall him saying that anytime you fight back, it just encourages them to keep fighting.

@@joannahatton99thank you so much for clearing that up for all of us. Because, of a typo in my previous comment the whole internet for a short time today thought that Matt was married to a gosh dang horse. You sir in recognition of your selflessness, heroic, and brave actions today in this comment section deserve a medal.

I used to flip my goats over on their backs with legs up in the air when they would get rowdy. After a few seconds they calm down and decide that they don't like trying to be incharge.

The trick when making slabs is to level the area with sand so its around 1 - 2 inches under what you need then the concreate to the desired height with some rebar to strengthen it, but your slab should still work, its just 3x more expensive then it needs to be lol. Love the content keep it up!

I loved the video. I learned a couple things. See, the ones you don't think are good, are the ones that can really train someone who hasn't done the concrete in such a long time. Thanks Matt.

Me and dad spent a whole summer with a mixer. He ordered river wash, sand, and bought straight concrete bags all by the truckload. We spent every evening all summer mixing and pouring concrete for our steps. I mean their big steps (8’ wide, 24” runs, about 50 steps total). Concrete takes a lot of effort, take what you think then multiply by 3

Great video. But about the outro, please always leave "what camera is that? Shut up! Don't tell Mere" I know it means a lot to you and I think it dose a good honor to your brother. It's good to not forget the ones who helped make us who we are. On a lighter note, Mere laughing "It's so stupid" cracks me up every time ❤

I recommend Traxxas for his RC needs. They're a little expensive, but they sale upgrades for the cars. They make aluminum aftermarket parts for most everything on the cars. Light kits, lift kits, bigger tires, etc. Pretty much everything you need to beef up an RC car.

DAAAAMN MATT! Those shoulders and arms are swole! Good job bud, killin it in the gym. Also yeah, probably should’ve encased the garden hose in some old cattle guard pipe. The ground will compress that hose and you’ll be up with barely a trickle of water.

Matt, the more expensive rc can be repaired as you said. You can turn top speed down so he doesnt trash it like everything else. The more expensive are also made to be jumped. Maybe spend some time and make a designated track for rc. Then he has a spot instead of making janky jumps that break stuff. You have the equipment to build a decent skid steer to build an EPIC TRACK for him. Then you both could spend time with a fun hobby. Also to help with your goat furst he needs neutered or his aggression is honna build. Next he needs trained. If you let them do as they wish thats what they will do.

- protecting the hosepipe from the Texas sun - will help longevity - that combined with being driven over... good work Matt.... - Thanks for showing - just me - all your secrets (won't tell). ha ha... Bullwhip has the integrated handle (if the handle is flexible ?? a type of snake whip ??) , stockwhip handle is separate (separable.. replaceable and length can be tuned to user preference) Concreting - a broom finish hides a multitudes of "sins".. lol..
@MattsWhipShop
@MattsWhipShop 5 ай бұрын
yes, exactly the bull whip has the integrated handle, the stock whip has the long handle that is made separately from the rest of the whip, and the snake whip essentially doesn't have a handle, making them very compact.
