+galactor123 weeelll, they're a bit different. Posner was a flash in the pan one hit wonder, whereas Pitbull led a huge career over multiple years with the biggest artists in the industry. It might just be that in the current climate of downbeat, dour "Man of Steel" pop as Todd (or rather one of his fans) called it there's just not much demand for Pitbull's ecstatic "eeeeeEEEUUUUH!" shtick.

I think knowing about her struggles in the bullshit that was her conservatorship really framed so much of what she did in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I mean I know she's fabulously wealthy and has lived a relatively cushy life, but I do feel like she's been through some emotional trauma that few people can relate to. I hope she just decides to enjoy kids and her wealth and faded to history staying away from any spotlight.

Taylor Swift has just been annoying ever since she started, writing and singing the same damn song every time. Somebody, make it stop! Damn it! Sorry. But just thinking of Adam Levine's 5 and Taylor Swift's music together, makes me want to puke! Well, I can still go back to Moron 5's good songs. @joejosephk1773

469ka37 the term originated from the strokes songs “ill try anything once” 6 years later, the marketing for the song to place and the term popped up. I suggest checking the original song. Its about the troubles with school, girlfriend issues, problems with and living life in a society that likes just the same. Its a really well made song, and its final form (once it stopped being a demo) is a more indie rock fun song rocking the “You only live once” tag. You should check it out (:

His commentary on the That's What Makes You Beautiful is actually a super important lesson for girls and women to learn; predatory men prey on insecurity, consciously or unconsciously, that insecurity means you won't see that you don't deserve to be treated like crap or you deserve better than this 40 YO bloke who has showered in a fortnight and whose room still looks like it did when he was a teenager.
@goingunder2548

How about another lesson - not all creepy men look stereotypically unattractive and unkempt. There are many handsome and well dressed men who are just as gross in terms of personality and people will overlook their behaviour even more because we've been conditioned to think beauty = goodness. Not showering and having a dirty room could also just be mental illness.

The producer, Lazy Jay, decided to instead give the track to Will.I.Am, who repackaged it with Britney Spears as "Scream & Shout". She successfully sued for credit and royalties in 2018.

I like Jessie J and don't mind your critique of her song. Her lyrics in Domino are pretty pop-metaphor-y in that they could be nonsensical, but the average listener could easily understand that it works for cool metaphors, but they're not so sloppy as to have embarrassing implications when analyzed. Shot of pure gold: "You're too valuable to consume and forget about." Or "You make me 'glitter' inside when I 'drink' you because you're so rich, in more ways than one." Fun spin on "Your love is (general intoxicant)" trope. (MORE SONGS NEED TO FLIP LYRIC TROPES LIKE THIS. EVEN IF IT'S MEDIOCRE IT'S STILL A BREATH OF FRESH AIR.) Easy to rhyme with "-ol(consonant)". This love is skintight: "There's no distance between us." "We're feeling each other up." "We're fashionable, kinky, and cozy like tight clothing." Reminds me of Beyoncé's "Tighter than my very own jeans" line. You strum me like a guitar: "You finger me and I make nice noises." Take me down like I'm a domino: "Knock me u- I mean, down!" "I'm sturdy and can get back up. Let's get playful." "Let's have an orgy where we all lay down on the floor at each others' head and/or feet at 90 degree angles."

That makes sense, I thought quite a few Train songs were catchy (though admittedly NOT Hey Soul Sister). Ive found its always been lyrics that made them awful.

Too bad Rihanna isn't a late 70s/early 80s post punk band. have you seen Pere Ubu's, or Siouxie and the Banshees or The Fall or The Cure's fucking output? like, 2 albums a year and all of them were good.

Honestly just love this era because this was the year I graduated high school and there’s just so much nostalgia there for me. I don’t care if these songs are cheesy or whatever, I will revisit them from time to time. Though, I will admit most of these songs on the list I still listen to are just when I’m feeling nostalgia, not something in regular rotation.

Most of 2013's worst hits were on the list for their lack of substance rather than their foul odor. That being said, I wouldn't consider the Harlem Shake any more deserving of a dishonorable mention than The Fox.
