469ka37 the term originated from the strokes songs “ill try anything once” 6 years later, the marketing for the song to place and the term popped up. I suggest checking the original song. How about another lesson - not all creepy men look stereotypically unattractive and unkempt. I like Jessie J and don't mind your critique of her song. Her lyrics in Domino are pretty pop-metaphor-y in that they could be nonsensical, but the average listener could easily understand that it works for cool metaphors, but they're not so sloppy as to have embarrassing implications when analyzed. Shot of pure gold: "You're too valuable to consume and forget about." Or "You make me 'glitter' inside when I 'drink' you because you're so rich, in more ways than one." Fun spin on "Your love is (general intoxicant)" trope. (MORE SONGS NEED TO FLIP LYRIC TROPES LIKE THIS. EVEN IF IT'S MEDIOCRE IT'S STILL A BREATH OF FRESH AIR.) Easy to rhyme with "-ol(consonant)". This love is skintight: "There's no distance between us." "We're feeling each other up." "We're fashionable, kinky, and cozy like tight clothing." Reminds me of Beyoncé's "Tighter than my very own jeans" line. You strum me like a guitar: "You finger me and I make nice noises." Take me down like I'm a domino: "Knock me u- I mean, down!" "I'm sturdy and can get back up. Let's get playful." "Let's have an orgy where we all lay down on the floor at each others' head and/or feet at 90 degree angles."
