I feel there might be something about the mother's attitude that is upsetting the daughter, or making her feel uncomfortable. Maybe she feels overwhelmed by her mother's display of affection or 'shiny' spirituality or something. I cannot really pinpoint it, but I feel there might be something there. Maybe I am wrong, who knows.
@ShelbySteele233 жыл бұрын
In a nutshell she said that she's not comfortable being open or herself around her mother because she is judgmental and preachy. This an unfortunate but common issue between mothers and daughters, including my own.

I want to see the love just pour out from the daughter for her mom. It took a while for me to realize that even when I felt like my parents were being unfair or having a different opinion about life they were doing what they did with my best interests in mind and that’s a very loving act.

Reminds me of my love for my son. I'm also in that tender-hearted place where he's turning 19 and taking those steps to full independence when, aside from 3 really rough years, we've been so close. I'm so happy for him. He was/is a wonderful teacher for this lady that did not know how to be a mother.

To the daughter: 100% Covert Narcissist mother. Good acting throughout, but totally disingnuous, unsafe, toxic, and definitely intentional about it. Never owns anything. Always wishes everything. Never acts on any of her alleged wishes. Caused daughter to dissasiciate by not being able to express her true self without judgment and shaming. Then Covert Narc mom has the audacity to shift blame and shame her (in her apology) for the disassociation she herself caused in her daughter 🙄. The hypocrisy of praising her online, then tearing her down behind closed doors. Growing under a Covert Narcissist mother definitely causes daughters to go minimal contact and no contact and strongest boundaries cuz they only want drama and fights. All this idealization of the daughter comes right before all the devaluation. I remember my CN mother praising me to others, justifying herself (rationalizing all her abuses). Its like a cult except with the cult leader being the one who brought us into the world. There is a hidden code everyone must obey which is to not tell anyone what they're really like.
@elizabethanderson2045 Жыл бұрын
Yea this video had a strange effect on me. Seeing your breakdown gives it all reason. The shifting eyes of the daughter says so much .. and what she most wants to communicate in the end is the pain of being guilt tripped by her mom 💔 what an emotional tug of war it is inside for a young girl when you are trying to be vulnerable and all you get is the message that you are selfish. How do you know it’s all intentional on the part of the mom ?
@87enoughBULL3 жыл бұрын
You can tell as the mother is speaking, her daughter is having a hard time listening to her (watch her eyes) - and it's no surprise, with the way her mother would turn an issue her daughter would be dealing with into self-deprecation, is a sign of a narcissistic parent. This is the closest thing I've seen that's similar to my relationship with my mother. We love each other but there is a lot of distance between us.

"Je t'aime beaucoup beaucoup beaucoup" 😭 I wish the daughter could have said it even once. The mom is so like my mom loving her daughter SO unconditionally, even when she falls short. Over the years I've sometimes told my mom "it's a mirage! I'm not as amazing as you believe!" But her belief in me and my brother always made us better, always made us keep going.

Yes, I agree with you. I was hoping the daughter would have said she loves her mom when she was questioned: if this were our last.... Would have been nice to hear "I love you mom, remember that"...or something along those lines. But whatev.

Yeah, but every parent turns certain conversations into life lessons, especially a good one that is looking out for their child. A parent shouldn't be their child's friend 100% of the time. Also, without judging too harshly, considering it must be simply due to her age- it makes me think this girl has never lost a loved one, considering the LAST conversation she wants to have with her mother is telling her that when they argue its frustrating... Because from my perspective the biggest thing you take away from that experience is that LOVE is the only thing that matters when it comes to the last moments, last words with someone. Everything you need them to know is how deeply you love them and need them. Just a little, sad thing, but something I appreciate to have learned. You can tell that with age and maturity and honest conversations and true gratitude these two will continue this beautiful spiritual contract.
@MissArtsyDeee3 жыл бұрын
I got the message that she really needed to tell her mom how she felt about that but perhaps never new the right time. It's obviously very important to her to improve their relationship.

Since everyone is giving their opinion 😂 these are my two cents: idk if it’s bc the daughter is very young BUT she seems very ungrateful, her mom seems very caring loving nurturing and she wants to “give her life lessons” bc that’s literally what she has to do, she’s her mom.
@pinklypinkly22202 жыл бұрын
Sometimes a daughter want to just be able to tell their mom a story and not be schooled about it.🤷🏾♀️ simple
@Heykyddo2 жыл бұрын
My perspective is that she doesn’t feel safe to be her true self emotionally or otherwise with her mother. Listening to the way the mother discussed her experience with the father you can tell she’s been thrown around and there is much yet to resolve. You can see the pain and mistrust in the daughters eyes. And the mother is guided by a strong belief system that is leaving the daughter little room to have her own perception of their relationship. The projection that the mom feels she’s known her for many lifetimes comes from the information in her spiritual teaching she has accumulated, but you can kind of tell the daughter may be a skeptic or unable to view the relationship or life the same way.
