Hej everyone. By the time you see this video, I have already finished the game. I wasn't aware that I had missed an area, and thus a side quest. Since this is an unguided first playthrough I didn't know that said area would effect my ending. First playthroughs tend to be imperfect. We watched the other endings on KZbin afterwards.

What I leally like is the atmosphere in the SH games. Music and noises are totally strange. But all is perfect for a horror game like Silent Hill.

At 1:25:00 you notice the motel everyone told you about in the stream. You're in the resort area here where you can explore several buildings and solve a side story about Dr. Kaufmann (the hospital director) and drug trafficking which would have unlocked the good ending.

While SH2 is the most acclaimed I think THIS Silent Hill captures that horrirific atmosphere the best It has the creepiest soundtrack

Congratulations for the video, I didn't imagine that an old title like the first Silent Hill could convey so much tension. The first Silent Hill may be from 1999, but despite the years it still holds its own and remains unrivaled. Ok, the fog was used on purpose, for a purpose other than scaring, because it was used to cover up some graphic errors, but it's still something amazing to see.

go back to the save in the sewer save. outside on the left is an optional sidequest with a storyline, then go after that to the boat. And edit it out for that replay before going to the lighthouse.

Honestly it's quite nice having the Twitch chat overlay on your videos, provides some context in certain situations. I know it's just to fill a space (right?) due to the game's resolution, but I do quite like it! Edit: Although I might change my mind if it covered cool shit on a fullscreen game

The part of this video that won me over was the sudden singing of "Diggy Diggy Hole." Even now, I still love watching the Yogs play TTT. Thanks for another great video. PS - Someone needs to invent Rusty Metal Country as a music genre. I feel like I'd enjoy that.

"She is Alessa." Definitely remember her from the movie. She's the one who sought revenge against the townspeople. I think Lisa Garland was the nurse with her eyes gauged out in the film.

As funny as the "must be on drugs" line is, if you look in the right places (the police station for example), the game does support her supposition. Also, I have to say, one of the few things I did llike about the SH movie was Cybil, though I like her character here more. Always has Harry's back, even if she isn't quite on the same page as he is. She's a real one. The devs weren't on anything as far as I know, but they did consume vast quantities of horror movies and books. 😂 Especially Jacob's Ladder (1990). If you haven't, you should see that, btw. The Twinfeeler and Floatstinger bosses are based on Alessa's interest in butterflies, btw. Her room at the end of the game has them on her wall. I love how the soundtrack intensifies as you fight the bosses. It's like an invisible health bar.

always the door on the map with zigzag means the lock is jammed and can't be opened with anything while doors with red line means either locked from the other side or it requires a key

In the boss fight what i thought and worked is that if the game is well programmed that Worm can't appear and disappear on the metal ground.. and indeed it keep moving on that floor, that's it's weakness.

I'd suggest to reload from where you went out of the sewer. There is a map nearby for the Resort area and there are some places to visit here that will shed a bit of light on what's going on and also change the ending if completing a side quest. Once you reach the point when the street turns to mesh you are locked out of the Resort area.

By the time you guys saw this video, I had already finished the game over a day ago. First playthroughs are imperfect, unless you follow a guide. Things will always be missed, some minor, some major.

When i played this game myself, i liked the fact that the city streets become their Otherworld version, but i didn't enjoy the whole moth section, nor the sewers. It's a part of the game that i felt kind of random and tedious; maybe like a filler. But i like what came before all this and what comes after.

Yeah it kind of breaks the pace. Also the whole resort area is very easy to miss if the player panics and just runs without finding the map. I wish the map was in view when getting out of the sewer.

@@gustavovm491 Yeah, it's a shame. Is one of those cases when i think that less would be more. Perhaps, instead of a 8/10 this game could be a 10/10, for me. And more replayable. It doesn't change it's a revolutionary horror game, i think.

Now I start to remember slowly why I never finish the first Silent Hill... 😑... for a 20 years old teenager it was the first truly scariest game I have ever play... other Silent Hills was piece of cake... this one no... 😑 even the music was so frieky and annoying some times... at least now watching from KZbin is more tolerated! 🙂

You missed a lot of stuff in this video. You skipped a whole part of town and an important sidequest that gives info about what's happening in the town. You can't have a Good+ ending anymore. Your save before going out of the sewer would be the only way to go back.
