I daily drive the sedan version of this with a 6 speed manual. I absolutely love it! Way too funny to drive with the manual. 40+ mpg and much more comfortable than any other car in its class.

The IMPROVEMENTS made this car EXCELLENT in the XLE trim! LED headlights, leather everything, olor screen,.....long list and my co worker bought one fully loaded for $16,500:) TRUE VALUE price! handles like a $50,000 car and out performs any Mercedes or BMW for reliability! I owned the model just before this one and NOT one failure under TOUGH usage:) This car will pay you to own it, by returning super MPG and engine and transmission being bullet proof! its quiet too! HAs six speakers standard!

It's great but I don't get why manual sedan but no hatch.. manual drivers prefer hatch. And what makes this a great car is that it's a mazda2 with barely anything changed. And it still has that cute scion design language. Like it a lot, Mazda is killing it these days

Wow. It looks like the cargo space is abysmal compared to the sedan. I own a '17 yaris iA and the trunk is absolutely massive. In fact I folded the rear seats down and fit a 60x30" countertop in the back of the car. The hatch seems to just end so abruptly after the rear axle.

I just bought a white (frost) 2020 Yaris LE. They never got one on the lot this whole year. They drove to Indianapolis to get this one. They have not been producing them since June. It drives really well but totally different from the 2007 2 dr Yaris I bought at the end of 2006...it's like a different car in looks and how it drives and feels. I'm not a big fan of the big grill in front but I'm getting used to it. I don't really care for the alloy wheels look either. However, this was the only Toyota I could afford right now and I really wanted another Toyota. My first Yaris was very very basic. It did have more room inside than this one but this one is so much nicer inside too. I didn't get the leather inside but the inside if very nice navy blue/black. It drives really well though and has so many more features than my first one. I wanted this used Toyota Corolla Hatchback they had but it sold the evening I looked at it and never got another one in for over 2 months. Anyway, I hope Toyota will bring the other Yaris over at some point because it is really cool. In the meantime this will last me a long time. I had my first Yaris 14 years and it had a lot of life left on it.

Why isn't Canada or the States getting the GR version of this car?!
@ShiftingLanes4 жыл бұрын
It's unfortunate, but the micro-hatch segment is all but dead in the US. This market demands SUVs. Europe and elsewhere still demand it because of small streets, even in rural areas. Hopefully they bring the GR over eventually once we get the updated Yaris.
@MJT-DA4 жыл бұрын
@@ShiftingLanes ouch that sucks... You're right people only want suvs down here in Ontario, Canada down here in Toronto thats all you see. The gt86 is only being kept alive because Subaru shares the same FA20 engine in the wrx. Idk why no one buys sports cars as much anymore 😒

This is because Toyota has rolled out a new proprietary platform overseas, while the USDM version is the same as a Mazda 2 per a previous agreement between Toyota and Mazda. Look for an updated Yaris to join the USDM fleet in the next 2 years.

ShiftingLanes hopefully the quality and features stay and the option for a Manual transmission in the higher trims becomes a option. That would seriously be a fantastic daily driver/back road slayer
