if Bombers, hypothetically, end up with a DVI deficit of 500 points after matching Kako in this year's draft. Given this time next year we will have a new DVI system under a new formula where the DVI value reduces more quickly for each pick, will we still have a 500 point deficit or will this get reduced to say, 400 points, under the new formula?

This whole issue with Stkilda threatening to pick Kako...and likely uses one of their first round picks and bidding him on so that Essendon loses the chance to use their first pick...makes me think what is the point trying to make the 8 (and just missing out or losing in the first round) when you can be a North Melbourne or West Coast and be complete shite and have access to all the top talent

Can't believe that we get peanuts in return for someone who has kicked 42 goals The club should have just given him a 2 year contract after all he was 2nd behind Langford by 1 goal it's no wonder the club has become a laughing stock and given Essendon bad recruiting over many years the club is yet to make another mistake by using high draft picks to bring in a small forward who won't fix Essendon goal kicking issues no wonder why this club has not won a final in 20 years or win a premiership in 24 years let's all remember what Mark Thompson said in 2014 when when when will this club wake up from their mistakes. No wonder Essendon are going down the toilet

@@everythingessendon548 I get what you're saying but it also means Essendon are 42 goals off worse without stringer how is getting rid of him helping out the club in moving forward My Mate already thinks Essendon will be a bottom 4 come 2025 and he has more believe in the club than I do as to our forward line which is 30/70 at best you now would have to question who is going to kick those 42 goals apart from Langford, the club has had a knee jerk reaction for as long as I can remember I have been following them since 1984 that's a total of 40 years I think Essendon's glory days are well behind them as I have predicted their downfall once Sheedy was shown the door back in 2006 and ever since the drug saga which I predicted back in 2013 I told people this will hurt the club for 10+ years and I was right about as well.

Who is to say that Caddy, Wright, Perkins, Langford, Gresham et al. or any of the midfielders won't give us an extra 10 goals next year over this year? 40 goals is easily recoverable if as a team Essendon lifts a bit next year.
