Tyson Fury vs Oleksander Usyk has collapsed. The undisputed fight between world champion usyk and Wbc champion Tyson fury fell apart due to a number of reasons that Frank Warren of Queensbury promotions and Alexander Krassyuk could not fix, but why did it fall apart? Was Fury asking for more money than what Anthony Joshua recieved for his Saudi fights? or was Usyk demanding too much for the rematch after the 70-30 split in the first fight. Eddie Hearn predicted right that this fight would not be made, but maybe there is more to the fury vs usyk story, and even so who do these men face now with the likes of Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua all lurking in the background.

The really telling moment was when Usyk agreed to the 70:30 pot split, I think. I think Fury had expected Usyk to balk at that, which would have allowed Fury to claim that Usyk had scuppered the fight by walking away, and perhaps claiming that he got greedy or some other shithousery. But Usyk accepted and called Fury's bluff, forcing Fury to find some other reason to walk away from the fight, damaging his reputation in the process. Usyk outplayed him.

Precisely, this is even backed up by the fact that Fury's own trainer Sugar Hill reported that Fury had never appeared to training camp. He never planned on taking this fight, it was all a farce, Fury planned on making the negotiations fail by coming up with some ridiculous split and then blame Usyk for the failed negotiations, but Usyk called his bluff and accepted just as you explained.

Everything just suddenly hit me and I realised this could be a probable series of events. Fury did not want the Saudi fight as he is scared he might lose a decision. He then tried to push the fight to the UK where he MIGHT have a home ground advantage (and likewise make it seem like he wants to fight lol). And usyk's team was very insistent on the rematch clause in case there was unfair judging and that was why that was the final straw when that didn't go through.

Fury's team put in the rematch in the fist place though? Usyk asked for the purse splits to be reversed in the rematch and Fury wouldn't have that and wanted 50-50 in the rematch. Why would you ask for that if you were sure you were going to win? If Fury wins there is no rematch, rematch only happens if Usyk wins - so fury knew he had a high chance of loosing and wanted to be compensated over and above for that in the rematch. Duck - plain and simple.
