Guy Fieri is from Santa Rosa, CA. He came to do a food demo at our high school culinary program after he recently won the food network competition. I was grateful he gave me my first job at his Johnny Garlics restaurant, it definitely shaped my career trajectory.

Years ago when Guy owned Jonny Garlics he catered a Christmas Party where I worked. The food was really awesome, I remember him and his employees working their butts off. This was before he hit it big on the Food Network. Goes to show dedication and hard work pays off
@toolbaggers11 ай бұрын
99.999999% do not have a success story like Guy Fieri's. Dedication and hard work only pays off if you have a lot of LUCK. Imagine being born south of the border, trying harder than anybody in the US could imagine trying to become an American citizen and only end up being killed by border patrol in a Texan concentration camp.

Yes....he's such a bad guy! He raised $1.5mil for victims of the Maui fire, then spent $1.2mil of his own in support of food workers in Maui. He spent days feeding victim and first responders of the Paradise, CA fire plus many other charitable efforts he's been a part of! Hate people like him!!!

Pancreatic cancer is almost always a quick painful killer. Normally a person rarely survives much more than 6 months. Guy is lucky that his dad has survived so long. Hang on to him and love him for as long as you have your dad with you~! Shalom

Ya pancreatic cancer is one of the harder cancers to diagnose. By the time it does gets diagnosed properly, often its just too late. Unfortunately I know this very personally.
@boohere211 ай бұрын
My friend told me Pancreatic cancer is one of the WORST cancer's you can get. I agree with that. Look at Steve Jobs, Alex Trebek (Jeopardy) , Ruth Ginsburg to name a few. All of them died of pancreatic cancer. I also knew someone personal in the neighborhood that got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I didn't even know he had it. I just one day found out he passed away. It was actually very sudden. I think it happened within a few months. From when he was diagnosed to when he died. It actually hard to detect unless you go in for scans. Even the symptoms can just be a tummy pain.

Johnny Garlic’s in Santa Rosa, CA was horrible. The staff was rude, all the food tasted like straight garlic. Pasta, nothing but excessive garlic, steak saturated in harsh garlic, salad drenched in heavy garlic dressing. Went several times through the years hoping for changes but it was always the same. Guy on a restaurant in downtown Santa Rosa, wait staff was young, lacked knowledge of the menu and there was nothing spectacular about the food. I am very disappointed in how Guy represented himself in my home town and a town he lived in for years. Shame on you Guy.

No need to be sorry. I have always wondered if he was truly an ignorant a**hole, or just plays one on TV. My Aunties adore him. And his charity works can be written off, and cover a multitude of sins: Mysogeny, and unfair labor practices, when it would be no skin off his nose to be honest and honorable, says to me that he's just another highly ambitious, and highly successful douche. He has no impact in my life in any way, but, yes, no pity whatsoever

Here's a tragic detail about Guy... he absolutely screws his customers and patrons by charging prices well above acceptable levels.
