Just a heads-up if you dive into the Money Game trilogy (highly recommended!): For Money Game pt II, be sure that you get the LYRIC video, *not* the LIVE video, which doesn't contain the full song. Ren released the LIVE version as promo for the official video (the LYRIC video). Also: from a production standpoint, the LIVE version is just Ren walking long a beach, reciting a part of Money Game II, whereas the LYRIC video is edited to include relevant imagery to go along with the full song. :)

Besides the camera panning up the stairwell with the ethereal “she never stood a chance” floating on up, I am also captured by how, all of a sudden, the shot comes into focus for a second exactly when Violet’s eyelids are folded up and she has to see Stevie right there in her face - shivers every time! Ren and Sam are magical together! Please do more!

I was with a guy who used to do that to me & it's exactly like that being woken up suddenly or even just like someone forcing your eyes open. Horrible. I was told by people often that he was going to do to me what Stevie did to Violet. I'm safe now but not without scars

Also: Ren announced in the past week that he will be filming additional "Tales" in the coming months. I'm sure the Renegades will come around as soon as they hit. Loved these reactions & analysis! 🙂

@@dropbarracuda haha gosh YES! I would love to get a tale from violets dad POV! I thought abt it before n some came up with potential dark plot twists that Ren would probably like. I had this dark plot of maybe when Ren said "I'm sure her mother knew" in Violets tale, he meant s3xual as3ualt not just physical.. And maybe the reason why her bf domestic abused her was because she WASNTN pregnent with his child... Ahh i need to stop thinking such awful plots ...

It will be very interesting to see if the new 'Tales' projects are the ballard/bardic music production or if they continue with the 12 minute fictional drama Ren - Screech''s Tale instagram stories (can be found on his YT channel - The Tales of Jenny and Screech Playlist) ..... this helps to stitch togethers/put into context Screech's behaviour ..... well worth checking out

Money game Pt1, was the Vid that forged Ren & Sam into the one take monsters they are today. It took over 180 takes to get the vid done!!!! This gave them huge experience and let them up the ambition and complexity, by the time Money Game Pt3 was filmed they are using actors, props, live effects all in one 9 minute vid. FYI, if you go into the Money game trilogy beware about Pt2, watch the "Lyric Video" and NOT the "Live" one

Ren's favorite video is for his song "Power" it's not really a 1 take video as multiple cameras are used, but the simplicity of it blows me away.. Ren wrote the song, recorded it, mastered it and produced the video in 2 week's with help from Sam for the final video, which was filmed with 2 phone camera's.

Loving your channel and great you have done a further video with all three together. You will really enjoy the Money Game series which can easily be done separately , however with Money Game 2 please do the lyric video. Money Game 3 brings the series to an almighty crescendo!

Violets tale was shot in the basement of the apartment block in was staying in :) They dressed the Laundry Room to look like a Hospital

Ren said that he spent ages on post-production automation on the vocal track because he had to alter the volume and EQ depending on where is head was pointing during his performance. Apart from the volume and EQ balancing, it was pretty much as it was recorded from his lapel mic. I can't wait to see you react to the Money Game trilogy because 1 & 3 are a one take live performances, a film makers dream... Part 2 is a lyric video because it was written during the pandemic...

the camera work is gold when Samuel is running it, and yes they must plan out exactly what angle to use to catch the proper lighting and view of background in each frame of the videos. The third money game video is good at displaying this. (when you do money game you want the video for 1 and 3, but you want the official lyric version for number 2) Animal Flow is a cinematic masterpiece also... I've been waiting for you to do this reaction, I knew you'd really enjoy it. very fun watching you be so excited.

Money game part 3 is one of his best videos imo. Watching part 1 and 2 first helps but make sure you get the proper version of part 2 with the lyrics ona tv set. But yeah part 3 is phenomenal.

it seems like he only walks forward when he is narrating the story... moving the story forward. the scenes where he is playing a character, a moment in the story. it's stationary.
