I love this man. He's brilliant. Im so sad for him but, I can relate to what he went through. I was already struggling with being a Catholic but, when my brother Gilbert died, I screamed at God and told him, we were done. Then by accident, I met a young Catholic Priest, who listened to my crazy rant. He treated me with nothing but, kindness and understanding. After listening to his comforting words, I went home and listened to what he asked of me. I re read Footprints In The Sand. For a split second there I was comforted.

I remember when his mom passed, wondering why one of my two daily shows weren't on. I was hoping he didn't have an accident. Then his sweet tribute to his mother had me in tears the entire time. I had lost my mom a year earlier (I was 25) and had a similar relationship with my mother. It tore me up and but his words comforted me. It also seemed like he knew every day with her was a blessing and fully appreciated her. I admired his ability to even be able to SPEAK when he was hurting so badly.

It's too bad he's sold out to the oligarchs when he interviewed Tulsi gabbard. He took the pro-war corporate position and you could tell it wasn't his just by the way he was speaking. Judging by the way he was acting he felt ashamed but he still sold out to them. I find that tragic cuz I've generally looked up to Stephen Colbert.

@@davidbeaulieu4815 I also felt he was being perfunctory in that interview, saying what the network's corporate bosses ordered him to say and trying to make the slurs appear as "just jokes." It didn't turn me off Colbert but I found it saddening.

Our prayers and hearts with you Stephen Colbert. You are great and GOD brought you up. Let us learn our lessons as human being from the miserable lives of The Prophets of GOD and how they overcame adversities and turn those adversities into positive and constructive ways and made people believe in the message they were preaching. Every one is tested in life , only great ones pass. " Have the people supposed that they will be left alone to say, “We believe,” without being put to the test?".

I personally don't know Colbert, but in watching his show almost every night, I kindda feel like I do know him. I hope to one day be able to go to his show. Meeting him would be the cherry on top... Or not getting kicked out because of my incessant and inappropriately loud applause would also work 😅. Saludos desde Costa Rica 😘🇨🇷

I think everything we go threw in life are lessons to be learn. Like that old saying goes what doesn’t kill you, make you stronger. And for that today you are a very strong man!!! that made you the kind of man you are today. Kind, helpful, honest, with integrity dignity , respect and values morals. And now this man with that big heart, that hurts and bleeds just like the rest of us, a good descent, giving caring man, that’s what all your heartbreaking, lessons taught you. God bless you!!!

The great thing about love. When the person dies you can still always feel the love they had for you. And you for them

Watching late night comedy shows was one of the few things my dad and I did together. My senior year of High School, I lost my dad to cancer just after The Late Show relaunched with Colbert. For several months after he died, I knew I'd get through the day because at 11;35 I'd be able to laugh.

Have always admired Mr Colbert .God Bless you👃 ! Never have I been swayed by your views or🇺🇸 polictical stance because when it all boils down your true spirit and character shines brightly is this dark world that we call 🌎 Earth .We all lose when we lose the ability to process the reality and strive to come together.Keep the laughter coming you can't even say your name and not 😃 smile.
