There's alot of stories where the sith are the protagonist and using their powers for good. There were even sith assasins that would kill other sith if a sith became to well known for unnecessary violence. I recomend the first episode of starwars visions which takes a sith assasin and puts him in a 50s samurai movie setting if you want sith being good guys.

In the second and third book you see his new apprentice zena using the dark side for good which acts as a counter to this more evil bane. It's not misinformation, sometimes evil space factions in a fictional world do good things

I agree with you, I think the Rule of Two is stupid, the ancient Sith had many amazing abilities, they had a powerful Sith Empire, and a lot of the characters were interesting. What I like is not everyone in the Sith Empire was evil necessarily, there were a number of good Sith Lords like Dark Marr, I like Darth Momin(he was the oldest living Sith Lord alive between after the era of Bane to the start of the Imperial era, technically, a Rule of Two Sith but he broke away to serve the Dark Side how he saw fit), and Darth Vectivus.
