Gord Downie a great dancer? Makes scenes he was a Tier A hockey goalie his whole childhood (If there is a position in team sport that requires greater body awareness I cant picture it). And he was apparently exceptionally good at it. Tall for a goalie before tall goalies were what you looked for. He once had a near perfect season (and I don't mean wins but shut outs!). His song Fireworks is reportedly partly about the rift that occurred between him and his Father when he chose having a girlfriend and being in a band over a position with a Junior Hockey team. (The main pre-NHL proving ground at the time).
