These bikes are literally part of my family . My uncle in the sixties rode a Honda sixty to take his physical for Vietnam...Thank God he never had to go and his draft number 1A . My cousins had the Mini Trail 50's and 60's which we all learned to ride on . I had 26 motorcycles and a lot of them were Hondas...you just can't beat a Honda . PK

*I want the toughest most durable and low maintenance bike I can get that would be for use on muddy trails and some road use. I love the huntercub but looks too expensive. Mainly loves the snorkel that allows it to drive through about 3ft of water*

The old ct110s have high/low gear box. I just saved an 81 ct110 from behind a shed for $200 it needs some work of course but I think it’ll be on the road for less than $200 so $400 total about 10% of the price of a new one. Would still like a new one though. Maybe in 10 years

I can't decide between the Trail or the Cub. I would be using it to commute primarily, no real trail riding. Initially I wanted the cub BUT the trail seems versatile and has the luggage rack so that is why I am leaning to the Trail. I assume they are both geared the same and take hills equally. I have a lot of hills so if one will do hills better than the other I would likely choose that.
@hondaworldut4 жыл бұрын
The Trail 125 does have lower gearing and will be better suited to the hills, but either option should be good for you!

Im team monkey, just picked it up, the trail was very tempting, but i couldnt pass on a private party sale of $3700 for a new 290 mile monkey. All due respect to the dealer, but i did not argue with that price, avoiding all doc, freight, set up fees, i bet the demand will be so high on the trail, even still monkey, the msrp wont budge, or even get raised some, plus the otd fees

It's hard to say, Honda is trying to get these things out as soon as possible. Those shipping dates are estimates and tend to move forward or back fairly regularly. If you're first on the list hopefully you will have yours before February!

Easy they're all 4 speed/4 gears, the CT 125 trail & Cub 125 have an auto clutch, you just shut off the throttle shift a gear with foot & open up the throttle. The grom & monkey you have a hand clutch to operate & change gears like most normal motorcycles.

Any motorcycle under 250cc is pretty much pointless because it can't handle Highway speeds at all.
@hondaworldut4 жыл бұрын
There are lots of great bikes made to go highway speeds, check out the CB lineup or the Rebels. They are awesome! Many people like to just putt around and have fun on city streets, so these mini-moto bikes are perfect for them. It's awesome to see everyone's different riding styles and preferences, it makes the industry way more fun.
@rustybeatty65674 жыл бұрын
@@hondaworldut here in Oklahoma most city streets have a top speed of 35 to 55 mph and a 125cc motorcycle of this size is pretty much maxed out and they generally don't hold up for very long US Highway 62 is a pime example it's average to speed is 50 mph across it's entire stretch and it's over 60 miles in length and in some areas of it's 55 mph so this motorcycle is pretty much pointless.
