*AS A DIE HARD BLAZER FAN * I originally wanted them to trade Dame and get Scoot. Now that we have them both and I have seen how hard Scoot works/how mature he is/how God damn talented he is. I feel like they can play in the backcourt together and Scoot learning how to play from one of the best/most humble small PGs to ever play is amazing. I think the best move we could do is move ant and pieces for Ayton so we have a good defensive big man, and see how our players grow. As long as Dame wants to stay, I want to watch him play.

as blazers fan i want dame to retire a trial blazer.. and i do think there’s a world where we see a future of the two but simons isn’t in that future… the team was put in a good but difficult situation cause with fifth best odds they planned on trading the pick then all sudden you land in the top 3 and it becomes such a premium asset that can’t be traded unless for superstar caliber player… imo what i want is keep dame,scoot,sharpe,grant and go into the offset and build around those 4 id look at simons trades/ sign n trades for a demar,khris middleton,kat maybe oh if available then when dame retires you have scoot who will be 23-24 and hopefully succeeding all expectations… they’ve been trying to live in two timelines.. the dame era and also the future of this team, we watched gsw try this and they failed (traded Poole/wiseman) but scoot is a generational type talent and tho he’s only 6’2 he doesn’t play like that he’s not like cj but more a menace on defensive end good cutter and enforcer at the rim he’s the guard i want next to dane

Dame needs to realise he’s actually hurting the team staying.. If he stays they are bad enough to not make play offs but good enough because of dame to have a low to mid pick. They are literally stuck in purgatory with him. I being a blazers fan wouldnt want to see Damian Lillard anywhere else honestly. I don’t think any team can give up enough for Damian Lillard other than just adding future picks. Which doesn’t really help the team over all, other than down the road. Which by that point Dame potential could have retired and won nothing and it’s all just a huge risk. I think Lillard just wants Portland to have another championship and him to be the one holding up the finals MVP. I think he wants to be the Dirk Nowitzki of Portland if you will.
