What a refreshing KZbin golf video, excellently put together. Far better than the monotonous latest driver review.

Great video. I play at Gourock on West coast of Scotland, and speak to many overseas visitors who visit our course during the summer months. The one stand out comment is that they felt playing in Scotland was special, it wasn’t about the famous courses, but more about what it represented, the scenery, the love of the game. One American lady described it as mythical, she found it incredible that courses were built on what was already there, not purpose built..

Fantastic showcase of some of the best courses Scotland has to offer. Just to clarify, Crieff has two courses, one nine hole, but also a beautiful and challenging 18 hole course with some of the finest views over the Perthshire countryside. Scotland is indeed blessed to have courses which are the envy of golfers across the World.

This is one of the very few golf videos that made me want to play and play this course that is featured first. (Okay, Gleneagles makes me want to check to see if my passporte is current, wow that's is amazing). Stunning, beautiful, and motivational, good job, men.

I'm beaming with pride as a Scot who left the homeland and lived in the south of England for many years, but played the Wee Course 9 holer at Blairgowrie as a junior for 7 years in the '80's, then returned to Perthshire in the 2010's, and after a long 33 year hiatus from golf, I just got back into it in a big way. Great video, and I'm so proud that you loved your experience in our lands! I wish you many happy trips back here, and if I can't offer a suggestion: try The Dragon's Tooth Course at Glencoe, or North Ballachulish to be exact. I loved it! Enjoy!

Leith Links, part of Edinburgh, is allegedly where golf started. There are still mounds that were used as the first teeing grounds in what is now a public park.

The beauty of 9 holes is if you got time you can play it twice, the problem with good courses you need to play them several rounds to figure them out.

Golf began in Holland in the 16th century. Kolf is an old dutch word for a club. I guess it caught on in Scotland due to it's kolf friendly geografi.

It was played on ice. Closer to Ice hockey than golf other than similar sounding name. Totally different game.

Not playing golf for all that long, why is Scotland credited with being the birthplace of golf when there were reports centuries before the first course ever built in Scotland of golf being played in other countries?
@wheregolfbegan14578 ай бұрын
The game as we know it was absolutely born in Scotland. The Dutch played a sport with sticks and a ball but this was on ice, closer to ice hockey than golf. The golf hole, playing on grass, 18 holes etc etc is firmly Scottish 👍

@@skyemac8 I watched The Open last year and they were talking about some queen who's husband died and soon after was seen playing golf in France which upset everyone because they said she didn't show the appropriate time of mourning, and that was in like the 1500's

The sad truth about golf , it’s become a rich man’s sport. To play the better courses you have to pay a fortune these buddy trips can be expensive.
@wheregolfbegan14578 ай бұрын
In Scotland probably 75% of the courses are under £100. There’s so many to choose from. A trip doesn’t always have to be about the trophy courses 👍
