Wow wee, it’s crazy to see some of this all just scrapped. The coaches especially look in perfectly serviceable condition. Most of the scrapping is for political reasons more than much else, if the UK doesn’t want them does anyone know why they are not sold onto other countries maybe? Sad to see the Pacer meeting it’s maker too - great memories of traveling around on these things - I always thought they were a whole load of fun! 👍
@TopAbandonedPlacesURBEX5 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely man the Mark 4’s basically have nothing wrong with them I mean they did tell me there’s a bit of rust but apart from that they’re in great condition
@TopAbandonedPlacesURBEX5 жыл бұрын
Jon Milligan and yeah Pacers are a bit of fun and I’ve read that the Great Central Railway are going to be preserving some of them and they’re still gonna be in Wales for a while yet
@jonmilligan80695 жыл бұрын
TopAbandonedPlaces | URBEX This is a great video... It’s totally mad that the coaches aren’t considered for export potentially. My car is is far worse condition and it’s only three years old! 😂😂 As for the Pacers, great little machines in my view, it almost feels a little mad that they’ll soon only be seen on heritage railways. Much as some people seem to hate them, I’ll likely always have a soft spot of their squeaky, bouncy and 1980’s style ride! They did their job well! 👍👊
@PreservationEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
@@jonmilligan8069 Railfans are strange characters. They were slagging Pacers off for generations, but as soon as scrapping is on the horizon, suddenly they become "great little machines" full of character with a bouncy (aka rough) ride. Very strange indeed.
