I saw a comment on Reddit last night that I was kind of thinking at the end of episode 3, that Danielle and Bob might have been working on getting Carolyn out, starting with putting her in one of the coffins. They clearly dislike her and haven’t been willing to work with her, and that’s why Danielle is going after her first.

That's not what Tony pitched in his exit interview(s). He said that there should be an incentive for ppl to actually want to go after a traitor and that incentive would have to be that if they catch one, everybody is safe from murder that night. That's what he suggested.

What you are missing is that the 5 are in the final and if there are 4 traitors at the end the traitors win for sure. Now if they have the see'r power then it still may give the faithful.

Carolyn and Wes seem to have gotten close and are very complimentary of each other post-filming. He’s my guess if it’s a Carolyn-led recruitment. I think Britney is the obvious Danielle recruitment.

I agree the competitors this year are just not super strategic. There is no incentive to eliminate a traitor because people want their own traitor angel to make sure they aren’t murdered. Which seems counterintuitive to what the game is about which is finding traitors. Danielle throwing Carolyn under the bus was so unnecessary. That turret is going to be juicy!!

@ Oh absolutely it’s a good strategy, but it makes some of the banishments just feel like they are getting rid of people who are not giving much to entertainment. The reasons for Nikki’s banishment wasn’t about her being a traitor it was just getting rid of her because there are so many people.

25:43 Yeah, the only reality shows I watch are this, Survivor, and Big Brother, so idk which editing style is the norm, but Survivor especially is leagues better than The Traitors. I feel like even BB is notably better, but it’s hard to tell when you know what’s missing from the live feeds. The worst editing for The Traitors is during the physical/timed challenges, but they do similar things throughout episodes, splicing things together that feel like we’re missing a lot of context.

I keep thinking about it and I'm just so mad at Danielle. She was so rude, dismissive, and borderline disrespectful about Carolyn. She cast her aside like a gross bag of trash into the dumpster. Then it's so dumb because great she casts aside Carolyn. She really thinks she gets to pick? Rob isn't going to just let anyone in the turret. I love hearing about the other internationals. Canada s2 is a hybrid of celebs and civilians and I loved it. It was such a good cast. I know US S1 was hybrid and not as popular but I think they just need better casting and they can't be surprised a season 1 of a brand new show didn't attract the best applicants. Now if they opened it up? It'd be a lot better.

Danielle and Bob are probably the worst traitors to play the game. WTF was that. How're you gonna try to vote out Carolyn to get a new traitor to vote out Rob? JUST GO AFTER ROB. There was more then enough logic to get him, now the finger of suspicion is pointing hard at her. SHE got off the boat in episode 1 when everyone was panicking they'd be eliminated, she and bob would constantly back each other up (bookshelf conversation) she's all over the place at breakfast, she killed someone who was hard onto her very early on even though nobody else was saying her name, Jeremy being killed was a TERRIBLE MOVE for them, and now this entire episode she didn't go for a shield AND threw out a random name with no thought process. The evidence is there. She won't last.

I think they're not picking enough traitors from the beginning. There's games where they've recruited like 4 times and if that's a possibility they should just pick like 6-7 traitors from the start that way the faithful need to get them out immediately or else the game will get harder for them as they go and they have more likelihood of getting them out. Or they could lose money every time they don't get one out and the traitors automatically get the money for not getting caught and that also gives the traitors more incentive not to go against each other so they can split more money throughout the course of the game.

It feels like some of the magic is lost on this season of Traitors US because we aren't getting to see enough of the players' personalities and interactions in place of more twists and more editing jump cuts. And, I think, an overcorrection for one Bananas split bringing in 3 gamer champions with elevated (pun intended) status to the game. The non-gamers are overpowered by the reputations of the gamers and their literal positioning/entrance in the game.

Hot take: at some point they will have to cast all non reality stars, probably season 5 or 6. The Gamebotting and Meta Gaming of Traitors will inevitably happen the longer the show goes, just like what Survivor new era is now. Or make 1 season just all non gamers, all bravo stars. Sandra already started it last season and the more gamer stars in there, the more game-y the show will be; Faithfuls will be looking for traitor angels, people going for voting blocks and alliances instead of looking for traitors, include the gender meta stats, just imagine how the show will be, it will just transform into a pseudo Survivor/Big brother and the essence of looking for traitors will be lost in the show

They should just abandon the whole building the pot mechanic. Just make missions for earning shields or preferably new unique powers that maybe the traitors want to sabotage people from getting or something.

Great idea! We're under no delusion that the money in the pot is what gets the "celeb" players there. Sure it helps, but they are getting paid just to be there.

I still love the show but I think if they want to have longevity, they need to tweak a few things. I thinks that’s fair to say. Casting has been great but some game mechanics need to evolve as players get smarter each season :)

@@ExclusivelyPod I don’t disagree with that at all. They def have some tweaks to make. I think that can be said for almost all competition shows that are in there earlier stages though. I’m hoping that they are able to figure those things out bc it’s a great concept and it already has a ton of fans despite the little flaws
