Thanks Teacher! It is also noteworthy to understand that Moses and Elijah represent the coming of Christ. As the bible states, Christ will return for His church first, also the dead will rise and some will not have seen death upon his return. Moses then, represents the resurrection from the dead, Elijah, who we know did not die but was taken up alive by God the Father, represents the living at the resurrection. Christ being the center of the resurrection will call both unto himself! God Bless!

Elijah was not taken to heaven, nor did he die at the time you are referring to. The "Heavens" in the account of Elijah and the fiery chariot in 2 Kings 2, simply means 'The sky'. The Chariot took him to a place of safety away from Jezebel - seemingly somewhere in Judah. Elijah appears again in Scripture at 2 Chronicles 21:12-15, when he sends a letter to King Jehoram of Judah. Nobody, and I mean nobody, went to heaven before Jesus (John 3:13), and nobody would until his presence. (1 Corinthians 15:20, 23)

@@mattgardiner614 Hey Matt. Are you sure that “No man hath ascended” isn’t just referring to the fact that no dead man has ascended to heaven before Jesus. Look at Ephesians 4:8-9. The context of ascending is ascending from hell to heaven not earth to heaven.
@mattgardiner6142 жыл бұрын
@@blake8820 Hi Blake. Not sure that I understand the question. Are you wondering if "ascendng" from "Hell' and "ascending" from the Earth are different? (By 'Earth, do you mean IN the earth - as in the grave?) I will answer the question according to this, but if I have misunderstood you, then please clarify, and I will try to do better next time. There is no difference: The 'Grave' and 'Hell' are the same thing. The Hebrew word 'Sheol' and the corresponding Greek word 'Hades' actually just refer to the common grave of mankind. (Psalm 16:10; Acts 2:27) 'Hellfire' is a pagan creation of latter times. " Of all classical Greek philosophers, the one who has had the greatest influence on traditional views of Hell is Plato." - Histoire des enfers (The History of Hell), by Georges Minois, p. 50 "From the middle of the 2nd century AD Christians who had some training in Greek Philosophy began to feel the need to express their faith in it's terms...the philosophy which suited them best was Platoism." - The New Encyclopedia Britannica (1988), volume 25, p. 890 The Bible, on the other hand: "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing... for there is no work, or thought, or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going." (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 - compare Psalm 146:3,4 and Romans 6:7, 23) Which leads to the idea of an immortal soul, which is another such borrowing from ancient non-Christian teachings. "The early Christian philosophers adopted the Greek concept of the soul's immortality and thought of the soul as being created by God and infused into the body at conception." - The New Encyclopedia Britannica, volume 11, p. 25 But the Bible teaches something quite different: (Capitals for emphasis) "And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man BECAME a living person." (Genesis 2:7) The Hebrew word for soul is ne'phesh, which means 'A creature that breathes'. So "soul" in the Biblical sense refers to the entire living being. 'Souls' die. (Genesis 3:19; Ezekiel 18:20) Everybody who has ever died is "asleep" in death (John 11:11, 13, 14) until Christ's presence. No exceptions. (Other than Christ himself, of course)
@blake88202 жыл бұрын
@@mattgardiner614 Hey Matt. Thanks for your response. My apologizes for not clarifying. What I meant was that you used John 3:13 as one of your proof text that no one ascended to heaven until Jesus, but that verse seems to be saying that no man has gone from death to heaven before Jesus. If you look at John 3:13 through the light of Ephesians 4:9, it seems that ascending is in the context of ascending from hell to heaven. It isn’t talking about people who are alive like you and me ascending to heaven. Because of this, alive people could have ascended to heaven before Jesus. Elijah didn’t die before going to heaven, so couldn’t he have gone to heaven as 2 Kings 2 suggested? 2 Chronicles 21:12-15 never says when Elijah wrote the letter, and if he was really still on earth it seems extremely odd that only one verse would ever be mentioned of him after his ascension to heaven. 2 Kings puts emphasis on the fact that his body wasn’t found.

So from the cloud a voice says “This is my Son whom I LOVE, LISTEN to him” it struck me once you said Moses that the Voice of The Father is saying to the disciples more than just a repeat of the baptism with John the Baptist, He is going further and including Jesus into the Shema. That prayer that goes “Listen O Israel the Lord our God the Lord is One, and you shall Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength” and now I have so much more to ponder. Our focus should be the transfiguration of the Son that are recorded in the Bible for us to read, as this is how our bodies will be in a split second when the mortal puts on immortality. 1Cor 15:50-55 💞

In what book in the Holy Bible do they talk about Elijah?
@eekay5710 Жыл бұрын
Elija appears in 1Kings 17-19. The book KINGS in the Bible is about the man who ruled as king. The book CHRONICLES in the Bible is about the period that the kings ruled over Israel. The history of Israel, but so detached from the king who reigned at the time, that the two books are practically identical. When you read the Bible, note that the Old Test was addressed to the people of Israel, not to the gentiles. The same with the New Test which starts with Acts 2, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Paul was sent to the gentiles. Jesus was born under the law to fulfill it on the Jewish people's behalf, as the law was only given to them. Both Jew & gentile are included in Christ.

The significance of Moses and Elijah there goes even more deeper than what you intimate here. Remember, Jesus had said in Luke 9:1 "And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power." Thus, the transfiguration was to be a miniature representation of the "kingdom of God" coming with "power". Well, what is the 2nd coming of Jesus to look like. We know that when he comes...the dead in Christ will rise first and those believers which are alive at the second coming will be changed in a moment...in the twinkling of an eye and caught up in the air to be with the Lord. So what is the significance? Moses died and was ultimately resurrected by God and taken to heaven. Elijah never tasted death and was taken to heaven in a fiery chariot. Moses represents those who die in the faith that will be resurrected at the 2nd coming and Elijah represents the class of believers that will live to see our Lord come again without experiencing death!

Great explanation. Jesus Christ was GOD in the flesh. Amen! 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: *God was manifest in the* *flesh,* justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

What is interesting is that Moses and Elijah were in the same place at different times and see the Glory of God, Jesus Christ. Did God pull them forward into the future and spoke to Jesus, this is incredible. Jesus told his disciples if you seen me you have seen the father. After Elijah returns from this encounter he split the river, something he had never done before. Did he get pulled in the future and received something when he was with Moses and Jesus?

SHORTS VERSION: ha ha The primary reason Yeshua took Peter, James, and John up Mount Tabor was to reveal to this last generation when the rapture will occur. Summary: This is a brief explanation of why Jesus took His disciples up Mount Tabor. On the eighth day, Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor and transfigured before them. Peter said, “It is good for us to be here; let us build three tabernacles, one for Moses, one for Elijah, and one for you.” Question: Why do you think Peter wanted to build three tabernacles? Maybe he thought Moses, Elijah, and Yeshua might get cold? I don’t think so. The reason Peter wanted to build three tabernacles was that Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor during the Feast of Tabernacles. Question: Do you remember what Yeshua told His disciples eight days earlier? Answer: Matthew 16:28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” In other words, Yeshua wanted to show His coming at the rapture. Wait for it… Before Yeshua can come in His Kingdom, He must first reclaim the Kingdom of this world from Satan. Learn when Yeshua reclaims the Kingdom of this world from Satan, and you will discover when the rapture will occur. Revelation 11 marks the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation. Look at what event is taking place: Paul said, “At the last trump, the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive at the time will be caught up, so shall we ever be with the Lord,” meaning RAPTURE TIME. Here is the last trump sounding, and look at what event is taking place: The Seventh Trumpet “Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.’” Now read what verse 17 says: “We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.” There is Yeshua coming in His Kingdom at the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation. Conclusion: Notice that Yeshua, according to Luke, took His disciples up Mount Tabor on the eighth day or the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles? Question: Remember what Yeshua said to His disciples before He took them up Mount Tabor? Answer (Paraphrased): “I want to show you My coming at the rapture.” Now let me show you the rapture taking place at the same time Yeshua comes in His Kingdom: Revelation 11: “The time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great.” Question: How can God reward all of His people unless all of His people are now in Heaven at the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation? Question: Why did Yeshua take His disciples up Mount Tabor on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles? Answer: Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles because He wanted to show this last generation when the rapture will occur. Last Question: Did you know that Yeshua said five times in the Bible that He would raise him up on the last day? The last day is the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, and this is the message the Father gives to you. There is so much more to tell you, but most won’t read this message because it’s too long. The rapture will take place one day soon on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Bruce

Not paying attention to what the transfiguration really means. It is a stage of human development for eternal life instead of death. Jesus said "follow me" and we are to do all he did and more. You are supposed to be transfigured and filled with power of the Holy Spirit. Do you want eternal life or do you want to accept death like other people? It's up to you. I will be transfigured and go on with my eternal life. Have a nice day.😁

I think you may have missed the greater point here please explain the transfiguration itself if possible Jesus is the word from " In the beginning.,,, before man created Prov:8 21-35 Jesus is not a man yet , he is like God, an ever lasting spirit the word becomes a begotten hybrid man with two natures ,,, spirit and human body he is baptized and the HS ,dove descends and enters him ?(father and I are one ?) Jesus has, God the fathers spirit now. then the translation ???? is the HS departing him to allow for his death (S. does not die) there may be issues here, re: Jesus is supposed to have lived a life as true physical man in order to experience life as a man He is a hybrid, having a spiritual father and human mother Do you see the circular enigma what am I missing Thank you

The transfiguration is a stage of human development that is meant to be instead of death. Eternal life in the body right now is God's will. This is why Jesus raised the dead. It's God's will. Jesus never did anything against God's will so we know what God's will is.

In the first thousand years before Christ, there was the first temple. Within those thousand years it was destroyed, and rebuilt. In the second set of a thousand years, the current era, again was the temple, it was destroyed, and rebuilt in the form of the Church. In the third set of a thousand years, the year two thousand one, a temple is there again, the dome of the rock. The first thousand God sent fire, and filled the temple with His Glory. Second thousand the miracles of Jesus. Third thousand, all the miracles of God through Jonathan Cahn. The first thousand Solomon gives testimony of Moses. Second thousand John of Jesus. Third thousand, Jonathan Cahn established the Elijah Paradigm, symbolically he's Elijah, and the Church is Elisha. So here is Moses, Jesus, and Elijah, in millennium time periods, miracle signs, in a way again, bearing witness of Christ, because the three are present again, but in a very profound way, but similar as way back in the transfiguration, and connecting well with 1 Corinthians 14 : 24 - 25; 29. It's a projection of that same event, but with a depth outlined by ages, and a moment of life imitating the Bible.

I also feel that this "Vision" Peter, James, and John saw was Gods way of confirming what Peter said, "You surely are the Son of God". Also, confirming what Moses said in in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 confirming that Jesus is that promised Messiah spoken of by Moses. We are clearly warned that if we dont listen to him, God will require it from us - this also matches up with John 3:36 - Jesus is the light and the only way to God. Deuteronomy 18:15-19 15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. 17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

And we can see this two also in the cruscifiction of christ ( the good and bad thief ) and also in genesis tree of knowledge of good and evil . Now when we are cruscified with christ we surrender to his will and commandments , we will use this two forces for the benefit of our soul and the kingdom of GOD wich is inside of us just like what jesus said the kingdom is within us. Now let me give an example , the good and bad they become tools , like if someone says something bad to me , my ego gets on fire and i will not give him any help and might start hating him , but when we are cruscified with christ we use this two forces for the kingdom how ? Lets say he said something bad , i will direct my ego towards GOD and pray so that he can make me love this person freely , in that way i used gvora and the grace comes from christ and flows to my enemy and actually my "enemy" helped christ inside of me to become glorified , helped my soul to know selfless love and break my ego . They are saints yes elijah and moses but also they are forces inside of us . The tree of life is christ and u can see it in the kabbalah tree of life thats why christ is showing us here . The malkut ( kingdom)

This doesn't even make sense. How the hell could a man be god? Utter idolatry.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 “The Word” means Jesus. Jesus is God. Jesus is man. He became man for us but without the sin. Nothing complicated to understand and nothing idolatrous.

Why couldn’t God become a man? Is there anything impossible for God? This is only impossible of you are a Muhammadan who’s god limited and not almighty. Let me guess, are you a Muhammadan?

@@bewitchedprophetofislam9048 No i am not but it would be ridiculous to say that if god would become a man he would only become one man. The whole is just as much god as jesus was and I think jesus knew that. Also It is silly to assume that jesus' miracles proved he was god.

@@bricksetter4134 You're not making sense. Nothing is impossible for God. God became a man Jesus Christ. This is logical.
