Thank you for posting. As a study Genesis, I have come to an understanding that when God said let there be light, that was the first presentation of the glory of his son Christ. This presentation gives validation of my understanding. Christ the light of the world. Revelation and no light was needed, just as the Sun was created after the light shown. Blessings

Be very careful about taking this out of context. The lawgiver to Moses was Messiah Yeshua. The Torah instructions are a direct download from The Melchizedek, The King of Kings. John 14:15-21 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Great sermon. One question: when do the elect experience the heaven that Dr. Sproul describes in Rev 21, after the final judgment and the old world passes away (verse 1), or when we individually die?

Could the other 2 people appearing during the Transfiguration have been God the Father and the Holy Spirit? Jesus never confirms that the disciples speculation that these 2 were Moses and Elijah, more pointedly, God the father does not even allow Peter to finish his thought. There are other instances in God's Word where Moses and Elijah are common guesses for who a person might be. I was thinking that this Trinity sighting was necessary for the faith these men would need to face the adversity post resurrection and impending martyrdom of Peter and James and John's exile.
