Got to say it isn’t actually a welsh breakfast without lava bread. It’s a mix of seaweed from the Pembrokeshire coast with oats lemon juice and salt and pepper. It’s beautiful and good for you 😋
@matthewjohnston31952 жыл бұрын
That should be 'laverbread', very common in Swansea and made near Penclawdd on the North Gower coast. Often eaten with cockles. Deliciious.

I would start with tomatoes and mushrooms, just to get those out of the way. The rest of it looks great. In the US of A, the word "pudding" does NOT mean sausages or anything like that. To us, it's a very specific kind of cold, creamy dessert and nothing else. That's why I would have to eat the puddings last, ha ha. "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!"

Wow I thought that was actually toast but you can tell by the look and sound of it that it was actually cooked in a frying pan that's pretty cool. Here in America my mom used to call that Cowboy toast. Cowboy toast according to my mother was defined by toast that you cook in a frying pan after making bacon. Don't pour out the grease just put your bread in

We love a fried slice this side of the pond! The way your mum did it sounds very much like how we do it a lot of times. Nothing fancy but just adds something more than toast :) Not great for the arteries, mind you!

@@joegardiner394 Yep you wouldn't want to over do it. But done in the bacon fat sounds excellent. Cowboy toast for us brits from now on... Yeeeee ahhhh. 😋

A "Full Welsh Breakfast" is actually a thing in Wales. And this ain't it. It includes cockles and laverbread. Impressive nonetheless.

I must admit I'm impressed. I have no idea how a human stomach can hold that much in it without bursting. I have to wonder how many years this kind of, "sport" is shaving off your life, the stress it's putting your internal organs through to process it all? I can't think of a single thing where this could be healthy in ANY way whatsoever. Still, you are a special kind of amazing to be able to pack down the mounds and pounds of greasy food you do. Baffles my brain.

Best thing to do with Black Pudding. I got 3 for you. 1. Mix it with corned beef and grill it over a baked potato with beans and cheese on the side. 2. Mix it with ground pork or sausage meat and use it to make a scotch egg. 3. Chop them up, fry them and toss them into a chicken salad.
