I honestly think Jack is a virtuoso. Just the ways that he layers his music and varies his voice in rhythm with his artwork, there really isn’t anybody like him doing music and animations like he does. I truly can’t get enough of his work.❤

My daughter, who is less than 2 months shy of turning 8, is even obsessed with Opal. Her and I are constantly singing the little jingles, because they’re constantly stuck in our heads. We’ll also talk like Opal’s dream dad and grandpa by sticking our tongues out like they do when they speak lol. It’s the little things I cherish the most. ♥️

Yooooo, I was going through some old comments and saw this. What a THROWBACK LOL. Yeah it is crazy how much I brushed off his work back then, definitely taught me that I should try to understand any "new thing" I see because I might be missing out on somethign great. Honestly have yall (the viewers) to thank for that, if I never saw all those comments about my take on jack's work, I would've never changed my mind

For a few years now, Jack has been my favorite solo artist/musician. Something about him and his work is so captivating, and there’s always something that someone will find enjoyable or relatable. Like you said, a lot of his work/songs has gotten me through hard times, whether it being goofy and making me happy, or being more mellow and sad, bringing me some comfort and relating to it. His work is something Ive been inspired by, and something no one else can really recreate. And i just love what he does

he is, without a doubt in my mind, a master of his craft. he wants to convey something, a feeling or a thought or an experience, and he knows exactly how to do it by being able to disguise it in something, like a song, and no one would bat an eye. you hear the rhythm, the fun loud sound, and even if you don't understand the lyrics or exactly what they mean, it makes you feel something. Jack is trying to evoke a certain kind of feeling through his lyrics and sound and visuals and he knows exactly how to do it to make it as strange, sometimes haunting or uncanny, as possible. he knows how to grasp your attention and keep it without getting lost. he can tell a story in two minutes, convey a complex emotion with his strange lyrics that outwardly don't make much sense. when you come across him, browsing or through vitality of one of his songs, you'll never be able to get him out of your head. ive noticed that he's not on socials much either, which isn't exactly strange as he likely wants to stay a private person; but his anonymity and the way he navigates the internet so sparsely only seems to add the curiosity surrounding him. Jack Stauber is a strange man, but what he does is phenomenal, and how he does it is always executed perfectly. when you fall down his rabbit hole, you'll never quite make it out.

i also love the juxtaposition of lyrics to upbeat music, like he is hiding how much trauma his words speak to. its deceiving. i really love that, you have to analyze him as a person to see beyond the lyrics as they are presented.

This first song (I’m in the middle of the video) hit me like a slap in the face, I haven’t listened to his music for a while but I love it. The sad thing is I went through that during middle school. I data bended. And it sucks 0/10 wouldn’t recommend because it really fucks with ur mental health. It also didn’t help that my old friend group was pretty judgmental and rude and treated me like a wall and used me for dumping problems onto.

I remember I was intrigued by opal. I was really creeped out by the voices and animations so I got my best friend to watch with me. We went through the comments and learned about the story that was being told. I randomly say “we see you, opal.” When I feel like I don’t matter. Although opal can only imagine them saying “we see you” rather than “we love you” I find strength in “we see you” despite what everyone says.
