Jeff Lynne never had an ego. Super talented musician who is severely underrated

How can he be admired by true music legends AND also be severely underrated?

You're absolutely right! When you see him in concert, he seems incredibly shy and the opposite of a grandstanding showman. Definitely no fist-pumping or "everybody put your hands in the and make some noise!" Just pure talent.

@@kieron6791 Lammond I don't think he is underrated but the fact there was never a scandal around him, the fact he is so humble, kind and a true fantastic musician instead of being a showboat makes him less in the spotlight among some fans.

@@kieron6791 you can be admired by greats and overlooked by the everday person. Usually the everday person doesn't understand the person's importance. + RodgerE2472 Funny, I was reading somewhere that Don Henley approached Lindsey Buckingham to form with him a band like the Willburys, that Fleetwood Mac were has bens as a band, a dead horse and an 80s road kill and move on. I cant remember whom else he had in mind for this Mega Band, but the fact of the matter was that Lindsey had a soft spot for Fleetwood Mac, ended up hooking up with his dysfunctional and coked out bandmates to make Tango in the Night. He literally saved The Mac from what Henley saw it as (and probably many in the business). Loyalty even if it meant going insane (which he refused to do by leaving the group and iuts vices). Tango postponed what Henley and others saw the Mac as by a decade. Time album mde it a dead horse once and for all. Then Lindsey back again to save the Mac getting The Dance done.
... that won't happen again , such a group! , they were all on the same wavelength...

I don't know how they keep their faces straight singing this, well towards the end there is the odd smile. It's a Masterclass in the art of the tongue in cheek pointless lyrics with a nod to an old Beatle song and a few cliches. Absolutely brilliant!!

Couldn't agree more. Shows what a class act is.

I actually find the lyrics quite creepy.

That's because you're trying to be eccentric! The lyrics have no meaning - get it? 🤔🤨@@eccentriastes6273

They are all wonderful; I've been listening to their music for decades. Love Jim Keltner. I remember George saying many years ago that he loved nothing more than singing in a band with a group of close friends.

♥✞♥If you have once accepted Christianity, then some of its main doctrines shall be deliberately held before your mind for some time every day. That is why daily prayers and religious reading and churchgoing are necessary parts of the Christian life. We have to be continually reminded of what we believe. Neither this belief nor any other will automatically remain alive in the mind. It must be fed.♥✞♥✞♥

This whole song has such an ELO vibe to it. It's amazing.

Sheer brilliance. George and Jeff harmonize so well together. Petty and Dylan harmonize so well together. And all together they harmonize so well. Sounds like Dylan lyrics and ELO Jeff and George music. George so happy to be playing with his friends.

Roy Orbison was my favourite but, even without him, the Travelling Wilburys were still a supergroup.

"Don't it make you wanna twist & shout when you're inside out". A little nod to the Fab Four. Thank you, George!
