The saddest stories of informants getting used was on The Wire. First there was Wallace manipulated into becoming an informant, who gets shot up by his best friends. Next is Randy, also manipulated into informing, once a happy go lucky kid who suffers a fate worse than death, being labeled a snitch and losing everything: his Forster mom and home, all his friends and is beaten into hard core criminal, a sentence handed down by Marlo.

Also, I listened to the adriana la cerva video, the intent to distribute can be as simple as passing a "bump" or a "joint" to your buddy in the same room. It's very loose to get people into plea deals and add more sentences.

Hank was very well ready to let Pinkman die and even saw it as a best scenario. Now it's only my personal experience, but that's how the feds are with their rats; a deas rat means less resources the fed has to waste which means a nicer pat on the back by your boss. Unless of course, they're still needed for testimony.

Because to be a snitch you pretty much have to be involved in the streets or whatever activities you're ratting on, for most handlers how much they care is directly proportionate to how much value they have to a case with their information.

Hank in bb aint a Real hero but he is 100 times more qualified as a federal agent as the FBI schmucks from sopranos. He is Not an Agent who seeks glory or the next promotion. I think that Hank is fully convinced that he does everything in his Power to make this world a better place. He does practuce police brutality but i did not say that his morals are auited for the general public. The FBI agents in the Sopranos Do not really care about crime and the suffering that comes with it, but only there careers. I mean Harris straight up is guilty of conspiracy to murder and coukd be indicted in a Rico case.

I've been locked up before, and from personal experience I can say that cops/COs' burn snitches all the time, and often don't respect them, despite relying on them for information. Often I would see someone be promised PC in exchange for them snitching on ppl on their pod, and then deny them PC while laughing about it, knowing that inmate finna be dealt with. Yeah, snitching isn't just looked down upon by criminals, it often isn't that smart to do. In fact, talking to police at all isn't usually a good idea.
