Great explanations! Kind of like an engine needs exhaust back pressure to get low end torque so you can’t swap out 2.5” exhaust for 4” lol

Engines do NOT need back pressure. I wish that old-wives tale would die. Engines need maximum velocity along with maximum volume of exhaust flow. 4 inch exhaust provides good volume but less velicity for scavenging on some engines.

I'm not sure if it was this video or a different one you were talking about efficiency of an aero port and how you don't believe it's any better. This guy goes into the science of it which was really helpful. The idea is air velocity is strongest at the center of the port and slowly weekends as you get away from that center.
