Dude, I laughed SO hard at the "hey, aren't you the horse from horsing around" bit at the end the first time I watched it. Granted, I was nice and toasted (a great way to watch this episode) but the idea of a guy pouring his heart out and begging for validation only to receive an empty silence in response...and then that silence finally being broke by some starstruck idiot that can't read the room is absolutely hilarious to me. Ah well, to each their own. I'm still making my way through this show (season 5) for the first time but it's just gotten better and better as I go. Looking forward to finishing the series and catching your reaction to the rest.

I get what you're saying about the last line of the episode. It does squash a little bit of the mood. But I do think it has meaning. First, he is the horse from Horsing Around. It's what everyone knows him as at this point and they could read his book but still have no fckng idea who he is. More then that, Bojack chose to air all this dirty laundry in front of everyone, putting Diane and essentially everybody in a awkward situation. Of course somebody is going to say something just as awkward. Bojack invites these strange moments. If you ever opened up your heart and soul in front of a bunch of people, you know there's always somebody who has to make it more weird.

The point of that in the ending is that he askes if this is all he will ever be, hoping Dian or anyone will say anything different... only to a random person reminding him that... he still is the person he was when he played in horsing around, he dosent just need to change himself if that is possible, because everyone will see him for what he is.

I gotta disagree with you on the ending, I’ve never really seen it as an obligatory joke to lighten the mood; for me it hits almost as hard as the silence. The entire scene is BoJack asking the one person who truly knows to give him a verdict on who he is-Is he the person in the book? Is he changeable? Is he good?-only to be told that to most, he’ll always just be The Horse from Horsin’ Around.

Also, it's better you pause when you're commenting a lot, I can see what you're missing but you may not realise that😅. I mentioned that because you're excited about continuity.. even "Ibsen" mentioned in the interview in s01x01 comes up quite often, till the end.

Why do you hype episodes up, that just changes the reactions of people. If they go fully blind they won't have expectations and therefore they'll like the episode more but if you go in waiting for something amazing to happen then your setting yourself up to be disappointed. I hate that people in comments have to point out every little detail and every little thing about upcoming episodes

We can say that each season ends in fact with their 11th episode ( and the 15th for the 6th season ). The last episode is just a link to the next season. From that point of the serie, each season will have a special episode who will play with the shapes and the rules of the traditionnal narration and each time it will be a master piece. you heard me. An episode even better than the rest of the serie.

I jus thad the realization that he talked with Ed from the hardware store in that drug trip. Talks about Ed and weather with Charlotte. Huh. I get where youre coming from with that ending, personally I dont think it ruins the moment. Bojack pours his heart out and all he gets is that single line which is all he ever hears from your average person on the street for the last 20 years or so. Besides, its a comedy cartoon about a drunk horse. Its a miracle theres even a single serious moment. Dont get used to it.
