I just bought one a few weeks ago. I agree with all your comments. The only observation I would add is that it has remarkable low speed balance as well. For a 500lb. Bike, it never feels it unless you are pushing it around the garage. U-turns must be easier on this than any bike I have ridden. Great handling on the backroads.

100%. First day riding the t100 I was doing perfect u turns and curves. Coming from an R1 I can’t tell you how much resentment I built towards the bike because it always felt heavy. I could do all the slow speed maneuvers but it just didn’t feel smooth. My current t100 is just all around a clean ride.

Bought my T100 brand new in 2020.....done 5000mls now....love it more every time I ride it. Made several mods to mine to hopefully look even more old school....nothing drastic. Looks just how a motorcycle should look to me. To be honest....and I know all our tastes are different.....but I would have not bought a T100 when I did if they had only sold them with black rims.....I dont know what triumph where thinking. I love my chrome spoked rims.... Great review.

I had a mad moment and traded my T100 for a Beemer, the Beemer is very good and I can understand why there is so many on the roads but with in a couple of months I regretted it. 4 years latter Good bye Beemer hello Bonnie.

I would love one of these. The styling is awesome. But I also want a Speed Twin 900 since I’m really short. I think I will want one of the new Triumph Speed 400s, too. I already have a BMW F750GS. So many nice motorcycles, so little money. Oh, and I want a Royal Enfield Hunter 350, too! I test rode one this past weekend and was so fun and flickable. I felt like a kid again and it had plenty of power for the freeway. There are a few Japanese bikes I want too 😅

I have a 21 plate Street Twin 900, pretty much same bike. For any other owners, those Pirelli Phantom’s are poor tyres and probably the reason for the handling issue Dan. I fitted Avon Roadrider and took all those issues away. New bikes come with Michelin Classes now.

Not sure why this version still comes with the Pirellis. The other T100 and T120 models come with the Michelin Road Classic which is far superior.

Type of bike I frequently reckon would sought me fine, decent looking, feel good to own, easy going but adequate performance and more usable than most hyper nakeds. Bit expensive. But that new 400 might do the job nearly as well and as a biggish single no shenanigans needed to give its engine character. And cheaper.

I'VE HAD MINE SINCE THE END OF FEBRUARY . Although a very good bike and i commute every day , it's been in the workshop three times now , apparently the O2 sensors keep failing , hence the management light coming on . Not the start i wanted for a new bike , with less then 2000 miles on the clock .

I love the name Bonneville, I also love the looks and the sound. I do wish it had a chrome exhaust system and shiney wheels instead of black rims. My wife always rides with me so the passenger seat and the ride is very important to me. Currently we ride a Harley that rides like a dump truck and we both hate it. So, I ask you how well does the rear suspension handle bumps in the road, like pot holes, seams and other imperfections in the balck top? My other question is how many rpm does it run at 60 mph? Dies it feel relaxed or busy at 60 mph? Thank you for this video, it is nice to see somebody riding a Bonneville. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.

Tubed tyres is taking retro a bit far. I owned an 82 Tiger. One of the last twins available. I would add a handlebar fairing and top box as I have on my CB500F. One of these with the blue tank would very nice to chill out on,even on a cold 🥶 day.

This sort of paint scheme is interesting, I think I like it. Maybe… But I really like the T100’s scale of a bike. Needs 6th with a slightly larger rear sprocket, like one tooth maybe two. It would transform what is already a very nice riding bike’s riding experience in a simple but great way. As it is, it is very good of course. But that level bike is a crowded field. Very good review!

Is the speed twin 900 is the same bike minus some chrome and spoke wheels? Seems like a better choice. Tubeless tires, alloy wheels and more understated vintage vibes.

Hi Dan, loved the video! A bit random but I saw your modifications video for your old cb650r and was wondering if after installing the full sc project exhaust system did you do any tuning? Like an ecu flash, dyno or getting a piggyback ecu like a power commander. Cheers!

The colour scheme looks like the original 1959 "Tangerine Dream" Bonneville. 64hp isn't a lot from a 900cc motor, my 1980 Benelli 900 produces 80hp.

@@togglehead9738 No biggie if you can live without the bike for a time. My nearest Triumph dealer is over400km away, and probably does not even have shims in stock. I can do a 4 valve adjustment on my current bike in 30 mins. Looks like the new Himalayan will have shims too.......that will have an effect on some buyers.

T100 = 500cc with twin carbs, T120 = 650cc with twin carbs. The T120 is the bonneville. I’ll accept T120R for the Thruxton model and even T140 for a 750cc version, But T100 is most definitely not a bonneville.
