Cool trip review. It's not a supersport. Only 81 Hp but 78Nm of torque at 6,800 so good pull for every day use. The quick shifter likes later down shifts. Is it good enough to justify a trade from an 8S>

a quick question for you regarding the Honda CB500 and the the Aprila RS457 they are similar bikes and price and very similar pricing. But have tested the Aprila RS457 the reason for asking is that it came out this year and it costs about 6000 thousand pounds but it’s the same design as the RS660 and the engine sounds exactly the same it might be worth looking into at some point

I agree dan, i wasn't fussed either. Also I don't understand people wanting POWER for tourers, the whole point of touring is to enjoy the scenery, you can't do that at warp acceleration or high speed, they're just being cocks. Keep it on track like i do.

Dude. You're reviewing the bike. Maybe give us the fork details? It's kind of your job😂

Why is that important? Kawasaki don't advertise who makes them so 🤷♂️
@somatyk8 сағат бұрын
@@Englishbikerdan With respect. You're reviewing the bike. Why is it important? Suspension is kind of important. It defines the ride. The make of the suspension is very important. Is it reliable? Do they have a good record? I'm not being salty mate. I just want due diligence on something that I may be buying.

I had a '21 Z900RS which, IMHO, was a much better UJM. Perhaps it lacked some of the sportier performance aspects of the Z900 but it was much more comfortable (for me) and versatile. More importantly, it's a jewel to look at whereas the Z900 takes some time to enjoy its appearance.

The z900rs is a much more appealing bike to me, lovethe looks and the level.of tech seems to kind of go with that classic style 👍😎

I'm sure like many I've overlooked this bike. But I've grown used to the style and quite the look - more than the retro version in fact. And it seems it's a good do anything bike still with decent performance. Kawa models suffer from seldom hitting the headlines on those specs but as you say, test ride it.

Nice review! Most of the current Kawasaki range might not be cutting edge, but they seem to be good solid bikes. Tech etc. is all to often just “shop window”. I’d be very interested to hear your opinion on the Kawasaki Ninja1000SX.

TL;DR: This bike can't be ever be A2 compliant. It can't be "power restricted" to ever be A2 compliant, since part of that license class says: "not exceeding 35kW (47 hp)" and crucially for this case: "not derived from a vehicle of more than double its power" AND in its unrestricted state it exceeds the power/weight ratio limit of 0.2 kW/kg by being more than double that at 0.43 kW/kg.

I had the 2022 z900 and for me it was an awful bike. Didn't like the riding position, the engine felt strange like it was always struggling. The seats were like bricks and have my ass a rash after each ride.
@tomroberts7195Күн бұрын
Wasn't a 2024 model. But i considered a Z900 ended up opting for the gen3 MT-09. Less power but over all a better bike for me. For the life of me can't understand why they wouldn't stick a QS on the Z, especially when you consider even the lesser powered bikes like the gsx-8s an the hornet 750 come with them as standard....

I have to smile when bike testers say a bike has minimal electronics. All modern bikes which have fuel injection and electronic ignition now incorporates "can bus" technology which relies on a multitude of sensors and microprocessors. If your bike has a diagnostic port, it's probably more "electronic" than your laptop.
@EnglishbikerdanКүн бұрын
But you know what I'm getting at. Tech that the rider can fiddle with like the Mt09.

I quite like the minimal tech but if I was in the market for a big Kawasaki i'd probably go for the Ninja Performance Tourer thing. It's more expensive but a bit more versatile.

I purchased this bike last month, and I must say it's one of the best bikes I've ever ridden. I've had a lot of fun on this bike and have no regrets. The MT-09 was a close contender for first place. As Dan mentioned, you really need to ride the bike to fully understand its handling capabilities.

I would say this is their best looking single cylinder bike and reviews indicate it handles more responsively too. The riding position also seems a bit more practical than the cuiser type Meteor 350 and bolt upright of the Classic 350. Retro looks without too much chrome and a bit more of an aggressive stance 👌

Abs is a good thing but all this lean sensitive stuff is not relevant to the majority of road riders. Well done Kawasaki.

Mine was black and red. The bike was terrific. I sold it because of the seat. No movement was allowed so you're stuck in the one spot and my ass got sore. I could only last an hour. So if you are 183cm and 110 kg look for another bike.
