Breathtaking piece of music. Downloaded the full score and was total blown away by the technique involved. Not only irregular measures, but 32th notes and 64th notes? In less than seconds jump 2 octaves? And that pianissimo. I can only bow down to the performers, soloists and of course the director keeping it all together.

Liefs Vanessa xoxoxo♪

Yeah, his expressions are fantastic. He's already smiling a few bars before the end, and his celebration on the last chord is fantastic. I played for many years on the soprano seat, played this piece as well, and trust me, when it comes to the end of the piece, when you're quite exhausted, those expressions from the conductor transmit you some real power to ring these few last notes and truly milk the last chord.

Monumentally good playing and direction. Peter Graham has lost it though. This is just generic effects band music. Where has the wit of Montage gone? Appealing to the HBO epic viewer I suppose. Listening to this makes me appreciate two things - the playing, and the craft of Philip Wilby, or Gregson, or Heaton, or Bourgeois. Fewer pieces, but better ones. And finally. Goddamned adverts.
