The Versys 650 has adjustable front suspension snd remote adjustable rear, aluminum swingarm, and 5.5 gal. tank. I like the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 but leaving the Versys to buy the new Triumph has too many compromises and trade offs to justify the cost

it just looks like the Versys. However the engine is a lot spunkier than the Versys. just a shame cruise control is not an option...it has ride by wire, which all the other bikes do not have...bit of a missed opportunity to get some great sales.

I'm also disappointed that the engine doesn't have the new T-plane crank and revised firing order of the new 900cc triple. That engine sounds fantastic. The older even firing triples sound pretty boring to me.

@@LS3ftw15 maybe they didn't want to introduce any unnecessary vibrations by going to the T plane crank🤔. My experience of Street Triple R, Trident 660 and Tiger 900 is that the 900 doesn't feel as smooth and was introduced to improve traction/feel off road. My personal preference is for the Street Triple/660 crank phasing and I would suggest that it's more appropriate for this application.

I don't think it looks like the Versys, in my opinion this bike looks a lot like the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce but MV looks better

This bike hit me out of nowhere. I just bought a V4S M so not really in my playground but ive always loved Triumph. Almost bought a 900 but felt the bars were way to buzzy. Deal killer. Love my V4S. Im such a terror on it. Its bad ass off road too.

I love how these bikes look different across the Tiger line. *Stares at Ducati* V4S/V2S I wish they would have made that bike look unique. Not just a mini me V4S.

LOVE the quick release luggage wit NO brackets! I'm wondering if the top case is also quick release. Top cases are ugly, but very helpful~ I would love to be able to do my shopping with it, and then take it off.

I'd bet the dash is actually the same unit as used on the Daytona 660 with a cover over it to house the warning lights. It would save cash on making a new one just for this bike.

This is a very interesting offering. Compare this with the NT1100. The NT 1100 will be thousands more... and will have 20 claimed HP more but weighs probably 80 pounds more. Yes, more torque and bells and whistles. But for the price, the value of this bike is pretty great. Not long ago 80HP was enough for anyone on the street. This is an interesting one I will be watching.

How much of a cost difference would be a full tft vs a half tft? It’s not like they couldn’t adapt other full tfts the already offer for this bike

@@larrywoods8871 Maybe you and I would pay the extra, but like the man said they're keeping the price within a couple of hundred bucks of the rivals whilst offering way more tech. It makes sense to ladder customers to the more expensive bikes if they want the massive tft screens, it's just one more carrot to entice the customers in that direction. My point is I actually like tft'lcd combo on this bike. The low price just makes the whole proposition more enticing and fun to me; I will be in the market for the rally version of this bike. I just wish it would come with cruise control.

This is a copy-paste of the Versys 650 with a triple instead of a twin. If it had the new T-plan crank from the larger 900cc triple, I'd be very tempted to buy one. Since it's got the old sewing machine 240 degree firing order, I'll just stick with my 2015 Versys 650 LT, or consider the upcoming 2022 Versys 650 refresh instead.

Being a Triumph it needs to be a comfortable tourer so you can long distance ride to a dealer. Of course most of the time it will be towed to the dealer where you can look forward to crappy service and customer support.

You need to check your sources. The tracer and Versys have ABS only. No TC on either. The V-Strom does have TC.

Dash is hideous. Looks like a child’s toy fake laptop screen. I think they’re trying to channel aprillia with all the colored circles but I don’t even like it when aprillia does it but at least they have a proper screen
