I think this was the turning point of war. Without the commander and the great hero, there was no one to confront Odysseus and Achilles. And the Trojan morale was down with the downing of Hector.

According to the Iliad A lot of the gods played some role in the Trojan war. Hera and Athena supported the Greeks because they were still angry at Paris for choosing Aphrodite over them, which led Aphrodite to support the Trojans. Meanwhile Ares, the god of war, played off both sides to keep the war going for as long as possible which is why it took the Greeks so many years to lay siege to the city.

Animation is great, but the details are all wrong if you've read the Iliad (I have the Mitchell and Fagles translations). Achilles chases Hector around Troy 3 times and when they eventually fight, Achilles kills him with 1 spear thrust to the throat. Achilles never waltzed through the Trojan lines, he slaughtered his water through

Yhea he's been using bad sources the whole way through. There's several modern changes that remained me of that film that was OK eye candy but robbed the story of its details. He even had Agamemnon kill his daughter by choice when it was a prophesy and Helen appears to have gone willingly... Not kidnapped as actually happened.

@@urmumisaho69 Rubbish. I served as a specialist electronics for 5 years. Honor is just a thin chrome layer. It's only enforced when superiors need to burn somebody or clear their own name. Also, what part of honor are you referring to? The part where the west invaded almost the entire Middle East with lies about WMD's, supposedly looking for Osama Bin Laden, who most likely has nothing to do with anything - as it turns out. The fair trial the west gave Osama? The fair trial Khadaffi was given? The fair trial Assad was about to be given? The utter and complete destruction of Libya? The horror happening upon Syria? The western attempts to install a puppet in Venezuela? The CIA's ongoing drugs trade scheme? The protection of poppy fields in Afghanistan? The mass killing of civilians which is supposedly "collateral damage"? And so forth and so forth. WHAT HONOR exactly were you referring to?
