Thank you EVERYONE for all of your views, comments and contributions. Never did we think this would achieve over 10,000 views! Rest assured, there are more videos coming very soon. Our troopy has been in the workshop for the last wee while getting an interior camping fit-out and Headspace Campers roof conversion done. Once it is back with us (next week), we will be straight back into the mountains filming! Thank you again

Did the Stedi Lights affect Cooling temps ? Looking to install a set of either 7inch or 8.5inch Stedi’s but worry about cooling.

Is there a lift to the vehicle or does it have stock all around?

What lift kit have you installed on the troopy? Looks epic!

Thank you! It's a 3" Dobinson MRR kit

I have slowly been catching up with the channel then this video came out. Loving the build. I’m doing a 79 build on my channel so I’m always looking for inspiration. What were the specs on the wheels? I’m glad you didn’t go for a imitation bead lock. This is a classic look. Were the stedi’s difficult to wire up and have they interfered with the pre-collision system? Keep up the good work. Loving the vids (both camping and updates). From a new sub, Mark from Cairns 👍

Thanks heaps! Always valuable sharing ideas and inspiration. We went with 315/75r16’s on 16x8 wheels. 0 offset front, -50 rear. They’re just plain old Dynamic steel wheels. Also wasn’t a fan of bead locks and didn’t feel that “modern” alloys fitted the troopy style. Preferred and older school look. The pre-collision system was relocated with the ARB (they come with a bracket), so the new grille (genuine Toyota) and the STEDI lights have no impact 👍

How’s the ride with 3” Dobson? And what spring rate in the back?
@TheTroopyJournal9 ай бұрын
Hey there, the ride is much better than stock! The rear parabolic springs are a bit of an odd one, Dobinson list them as rated for 3” at 400kg, or 4” at 150 kg. We are targeting 3” with our eventual rear setup with fridge etc so here’s hoping!

How much does the bar weigh? ARB are sneaky and don't really talk about their weights.
@TheTroopyJournal9 ай бұрын
They are a bit sneaky…I think it’s around 80kg

Hey mate, did you install the flares? Are they riveted in?
@TheTroopyJournal9 ай бұрын
Hey there, yes, riveted in 😊

My opinion is that, if you live outside Australia you don’t need a front bar. Tell me I’m wrong. 😊

Haha cheers! Hope you’re enjoying the channel

You guys are composing good videos but I personally think some of the shots would be better with some kind of voice over. I do recon you have potential to grow into a full time channel though.

Thanks for the comment! These are our first three videos we have ever produced, so always keen to hear feedback. Part of the way we are trying to film is to not have too much talking or background music. The sounds of camping, tools, the engine etc, for that immersive affect. But will take your advice on board! Cheers

Sorry , but with the narrow tires the Troopy looks much better

Agreed they look fantastic on skinnies, but they aren’t practical for what we intend to do 😊
