It's nice to see this charming, often over-looked movie, getting some well deserved love. I couldn't agree with your analysis more. Wonderful cast, great script, beautifully shot, and loaded with dark humor. I would love to see more Hitchcock reviews, especially for the more neglected movies, Family Plot, Frenzy, Spellbound, and Foreign Correspondent just to name a few. There are so many gems waiting to be appreciated.

"The Trouble with Harry" was one of my Dad's favorite films. Dad and Alfred Hitchcock, and Fidel Castro, shared a common birthday, August 13th. Thank you for reminding me of my Dad's laughter; I love this movie.

A well deserved (and well delivered) appreciation of this somewhat forgotten little gem of a movie. If another director had made it, it would be counted as as one of his best. That's the "Trouble with Alfred": too many masterpieces.

I feel the same about Billy Wilder's Avanti! The Trouble With Harry is my favourite Hitchcock film. His sense of humour is a big part of what captivated me more so than the thrills even.
