Seeing Ottie's character develop is absolutely adorable. What I appreciate about you and Zoe as parents is that you just talk to her normally. I feel like a proud Aunt watching her grow!

It’s really heartwarming but also bittersweet watching Alfie love being a father so much when you didn’t have a good father figure growing up. Him saying the most challenging part of parenting is not having enough time with his child made me cry. It’s just really healing to see how it should be.

The ending bit has really got me thinking. It is wild to think that your kids will be able to watch you and hear how you spoke, and your mannerisms at 30. We can look back to photos of our parents and just assume what they were like because of the stories we hear but Ottie probably will watch these one day. It is wild to think that she will get to experience, to some level, you and zoe being young parents and what each day looked like, how you two spoke and acted, and so much more. That is crazy, truly crazy to think about.

I really think you were born to be a father. There are so many aspects of fatherhood that just seem so innate to you, like it all comes easy even though there can be challenging times. Ottie and your new little one are so fortunate to have you.

We usually see such a polished and perfected Alfie, I almost forgot that these vulnerable moments (like him tearing up at the end of the video) exist. It took me right back to watching young Alfie and he's right, time has absolutely FLOWN.

When you’re talking about time going so fast and making the most of everything - this becomes even more intense with your second child, particularly if she’s going to be your last child! We have two girls too (amazing) but this second time around I’ve felt like that even more. Soak it all up because it goes even faster second time!!! It’s insane x

I hope you and Zoe know that Ottie’s speech is so amazing because you two have always spoken to her a lot, but also in your normal voices. A lot of times people speak to babies and young kids in a “baby voice” and it truly has a major impact on a child’s ability to learn how to pronounce words.

I remember from a very old vlog, that you both had just started dating and Zoe used to live near a beach, in the middle of the night Zoe wanted to go to the beach and you both went out despite it being freezing cold but you both were still so excited! And now seeing the same excitement that Ottie has to go to the beach is incredibly heartwarming. Love seeing how you both have grown up so beautifully in the past decade!!

Alfie you made me cry so hard with your thoughts on parenting. I am 25 and for the last few years my dad always asks on my birthday how old i am turning. Silent watcher here … when I was pregnant everyone with children were telling me how difficult parenting is… having the little one myself , yes it is so challenging but also the best period of my life.❤ So I have advice for soon to be parents ( I also said this to my friends how are about to become parents ) soak up every moment and enjoy parenthood, lack of sleep or trying to navigate child through their emotions cannot compare with love and happiness that you receive❤

I just adore how much you love your child and baby No2 My Dad never seemed to enjoy or want to be involved in our lives too much. He much preferred being at work and working away (he volunteered) then at weekends he was always playing sport. So I never really had a relationship with him. So seeing you with Ottie and listening to you talk about her fills my heart. May you never change ❤

Having my first baby, who is currently 4 months old, my life feels like a never ending to do list that I cannot get done.. but the way you spoke about it, made me realise that will always be the case and that’s just life. Ok, that was emotional. I have just recently turned 18 and now moved to another island away from my family to go to uni, and I’ve never felt like time has gone so fast before. I do tend to overthink the future, but because I wasn’t an adult yet I used to say to myself that I didn’t need to worry about it, but now that time has come. I’m just waffling on now, but yes, time does fly, and much quicker than it seems at the time. Love all of your content, it’s really inspiring. Thank you for always helping others with your content! I have never really commented on ANY videos I've ever watched, not just this channel. Nor do I thumbs up. But what you said at the end is the extreme truth and had me crying. My son just turned 12 and my daughter 9. We were both told at young ages we wouldn't be able to have children or it would be extremely challenging and had to have them young to avoid complications. Then add in all of the variables through life, I had brain surgery, and time becomes so much more precious because you have no idea when that part will end or what will happen tomorrow. So to any parent, or future parent, time is so finite and everything is so psychological as well. It's so hard but so incredible to see something you've created, live outside of you and love them in a way that can NEVER be described. Absorb it. The good and the bad. It's all worth it. Ugh, I'm still crying. It's also why I wrote my book, it's my "vlog" of sorts. All my lessons and trials and also about them. My reasons for continuing my days on this earth and making scary choices that don't just effect me anymore. It's a love like no other. Fierce love. A love you'd do anything for. ❤
