My birth mother found herself pregnant and alone at age 19. My birth father urged her to get an abortion. 😔 She even went to the abortion clinic, but when she saw me on the ultrasound, she got up and walked out. 🙌🏻 She chose life for me. I was born healthy in 1979. She chose adoption. ❤️❤️❤️ 11 years ago we were reunited. And I was given the chance to tell her thank you for choosing life for me. 👩‍👧 I’m so grateful for every day that I have! She is my hero. 🥲 Love you mom!

My ex was having anxiety about her pregnancy because of our cultural differences (US vs India). She told her doctor and they recommended Planned Parenthood free counselors would help her through her worries. After 3 meetings they convinced her to abort. All this was behind my back and I lost my daughter thanks to these vultures preying on women. Unless its rape, men should have a say in the abortion process. It takes two to make that baby.

Thirteen years ago our daughter was pregnant for the first time on the other side of the country in New York, and felt all alone without her mother's presence to guide her. She naively sought advice from Planned Parenthood. When they offered her a variety of options for abortion, she explained that she was looking for assistance to have a healthy child. They laughed and told her that in that case she was on her own. With our encouragement she was able to find a good OB, and today we have a beautiful granddaughter. The next time you hear Planned Parenthood claiming that they are only about women's health, remember that they really are focused on nothing but abortion.

I used to work in Histopathology at what was called Pathcentre at the time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia about 20 years ago. One of my tasks was to sit in on the dissection of things which were removed surgically for the purpose of processing to take sections and examining under a microscope. One thing that hit me hard was a foetus less than 3 months old, therefore still within the legal window for abortion, barely 2 inches long. The foetus had arms, legs, hands and fingers, feet and toes, a face, heart, liver, kidneys, and even a penis. It tore my heart out to watch this innocent little body being dissected. The argument of "my body, my choice" and "don't tell me what to do with my body" falls flat when it's used to justify snuffing out the life of another person. The hypocrisy is staggering.

I don't think enough people have been educated on how an actual abortion is performed. Planned Parenthood describes it as "gently taking the pregnancy tissue out of your uterus", when in reality the baby's limbs are brutally ripped off one by one. The skull is ultimately crushed while still inside the mother, ending the procedure. Women often ask, "Will my abortion be painful?"... *ask the baby.*

My mother was a nurse. Like most nurses she recognized that there are valid reasons for an abortion to be performed. When my ectopic pregnancy was terminated by a shot of methotrexate she was by my side. When my sister in law decided to terminate because a positive amniocentesis for Down syndrome she stayed silent but I could tell she disapproved. My sister’s and my unplanned pregnancies were met with a willingness to help and support the lives of their grandchildren. My mother saw the aftermath of the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling firsthand while working in labor and delivery. Perfectly healthy 2nd and 3rd trimester babies being born because of methods like injecting a saline solution into the amniotic sac that kills the baby. I don’t know if labor was then later induced or if they just waited for nature to take it’s course. My parents are not the type to be loud advocates but they have(had) firm beliefs. Rather than get involved with the pro-life movement (they’re quiet people and at the time had 3 kids to raise) they protested the ruling of Roe v Wade by deciding that my mother would go off her birth control and they would have another baby. My conception date was April 1, 1976. My sister used to say to me, “the jokes over.” 9 months later at 12:26 am December 25, 1976 I was born at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, NC. My parents living pro-life statement. I think my mother would be happy to know that I got to see the overturning of Roe v Wade.

For a while, women were able to get therapy for repressed memories. It was law that if they had been molested in childhood, they had to notify authorities. This repressed memory therapy did not last long, and they now apparently avoid doing it, because molestation has been prevalent. I think she's absolutely right, education is especially important with this issue. You hear so often "it's a clump of cells" and I don't think the average person really understands how quickly a baby develops or how grotesque and brutal an abortion can be (especially a late term one). I think that everybody needs to hear Dr Anthony Levatino's explanation during his testimony. It's 5 minutes that can open people's eyes, change a person's mind, and save lives. In this age, where birth control can easily be acquired for free and Plan B is over the counter, there is absolutely no reason why so many women should be "needing" abortions. We've gotten to the point where gals are using abortions like birth control, and it's disgusting.
@thecakeladytm

Plan B is an abortion, too. Contraceptives like condoms, some chemicals that prevent ovulation, or (especially!) abstinence prevent conception. IUD prevents a healthy baby from implanting, so does the Plan B. "Birth control" is just another way to say aborting the pregnancy.

"Planned Parenthood", sounds so simple. Help people plan for parenthood. Give advice: places to find breast pumps, diapers, baby wipes, formula (if the mom can't breastfeed), helping the father prepare for coming home and helping the mother, sharing days off and rotating sleep cycles so one parent doesn't burn out, dealing with the possibility of PTSD. BUT NOPE - ABORTION. The fact that a Planned Parenthood has to close down because abortion is illegal now is telling about their business model. There are other ways to make money helping parents make informed decisions: therapy, selling said items to help parents for cheaper, setting up daycare center. All of which they may do already but it should be the forefront of the business, not a "they may be doing this".

The final straw for me was looking up surgical abortion procedures and how they are done. It used to be they would talk about what happened to the fetus, then it became “fetal tissue”, then it said just “tissue”. It’s unreal how much they try to hide what an abortion actually does. She’s right, even Googles links are biased on this. That’s not some conspiracy thing, it’s something anyone can observe if they’ve been paying attention. Wow. Almost like my own experience. I learned about abortion almost the same way but in middle school. There were these pamphlets left around at a Catholic school I was attending in a courtyard with very disturbing and horrific images of mutilated fetuses. Not sure who in the world left these pamphlets laying around. After seeing them I wasn’t able to eat. I was sick to my stomach. At school we had a nurse who was teaching a health class. And she showed us an old 1970’s film documentary on abortion procedure. They showed us real abortion being performed on a woman and I’ll never forget the horrors of the effects on the woman shaking, screaming, using some vacuum, dead saline red fetus, etc. Almost wished I would have never seen it because literally left me scared (I guess in a good way) emotionally as a kid growing up. I never really wanted to tell anybody my reactions. But over the years I earned about it and decided to speak up. I so am grateful the nurse showed us this at young age to alert us. Most people seem indifferent to it but it hit like a ton of bricks. I only saw such a horror through images but i can’t imagine what the person experiences committing or getting an abortion. But you can't be the traditional stay-at-home mother and be successful in most fields. We talk a big game about women, but women are merely humans. You have 24 hours in a day, and raising a child right takes time. A lot of time. The idea that a woman can fully commit to raising children AND be an astronaut... cmon... we all know better. Men couldn't do both either. That's really one of the bigger problems with feminism. We tell girls they can do it all. We tell them that they SHOULD do it all. We tell them that housewifing doesn't count in some way. It counts. Maybe that's your life's work... raise some kids right. The idea that you can live your life for more than just raising kids... go for it... but understand that EVENTUALLY, you're going to have to compromise. I know not every man will step up, but I think most would as in this case. It just took the birth to make it happen.

They still have the ability to kill their unborn children in most states in the US. Missouri is the only state that I've heard of that has banned abortion. (There could be others, I just haven't looked into it.) Abortion will now be decided on a state by state basis, which is how it should've always been decided. If you want abortion to be legal, vote that way. If your state band abortion, move to a state that allows it. I think pro-choice people are afraid that they're going to find out that the majority of the population does not support abortions being legal. I hope their fears are confirmed and I hope states can end the allowance of abortion.

CDC reported a yearly national total for abortions is 2019. The agency says there were 629,898 abortions nationally that year, slightly up from 619,591 in 2018. Guttmacher’s latest available figures are from 2020, when it says there were 930,160 abortions nationwide, up from 916,460 in 2019. Just 1% of women obtain an abortion because they became pregnant through rape, and less than 0.5% do so because of incest, according to the Guttmacher Institute.

The donations based one is Christian, yet they give STD and truthful education for FREE, the PP will charge you and give you such bad info I think they are trying to get people pregnant so they use their other (abortion) services. Very numb women and aggressive men work at our PP, they have hardened their hearts and it shows, they need to really think about what they have made themselves okay with. It's not the mother's body and blood that they spill after his heart starts to beat 20 days after conception, it's his, not hers to control.

However, 60% of women also say they felt "forced" to abort. My mom kept me and cared for me. She never needed to use the "system" for aid, but even is she had, who cares, I pay taxes now and I also donate to pro-life groups because people like me shouldn't get the death sentence for their father's abuse. I am a blessing to my mom; she had a stroke in 2021 I now happily care for her like she cared for me. It's always SO shocking to me just how little adoption is brought up in the conversation of unplanned pregnancy. One of the biggest Pro-Choice arguments is: What if the woman is in the middle of college and becoming a mother would just not allow her to finish school to get a good career? Or how about teen moms in high school - a 16 year old is NOT ready to be a parent! Or what if the woman's partner is totally unsupportive and doesn't want to take care of the child? Or what if the woman is poor and unable to financially support a child, or she already has multiple kids and is just not able to take on another one? Well, clearly the only option is abortion! Just wipe it away, clean slate, never even happened! We can't FORCE women into motherhood if they are unable and/or unwilling to be a parent. And they're absolutely right - we CAN'T - and SHOULDN'T - force anyone to do anything. That's where adoption comes in. You do not have to be a mother. You do not have to take care of and support a child that you aren't ready for or just flat out don't want. That's why it is completely legal to leave a baby at a police station or hospital, and your hands are washed clean of any responsibility or connection to the child. All you have to do is incubate the baby for 9 months. 9 measly months. Maybe being pregnant isn't the most fun thing in the world (I know, I've done it), especially when you are carrying a child that you intend to give up for adoption. But tough sh!t. No one said it was going to be easy to do that. But guess what? Once that pregnancy test shows positive and it's an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy, NONE of the choices are easy. Sorry, bit this is one of those situations in life which isn't going to be super fast and simple and you put it behind you and forget it. But suck it up, carry the baby, and then you're done. Honestly, I absolutely despise the "Parenting or Abortion" mindset. And I don't understand why Pro-Choicers aren't pushed more to explain why they think that "She's not ready to be a mother" is a valid argument?

I am the result of rape, my life has value, it was my body and not my mother's body to have cut up in order to stop my life. There are so many great donations-based resources for women that want to keep or give their child in adoption, there is never a reason to kill someone like me, that's just choosing fear over love. God doesn't need people's compromises. God needs people's humility and willingness to do what they know is right. Do you know 60% of women say they felt forced into abortion and 1 in 3 women suffer PTSD and depression after abortion and need help. This has never been about what's best for the mother, abortions make people money and help men use and abuse women.

I had a site bookmarked that had these sources and links. I didn'thave time at that moment to dive in and read for myself, and it was closed down when I went back later. Like this guest said, searches are slanted, because I can't find those studies now. I just remember the first two were reputable (like Harvard or something) and I was like OMG, this is exactly what I've needed, and was excited to save the page.
