Thus, when they have become as unyielding as stone, they understand that stones erode, rocks fade away. But as one stone crumbles so too another one forms. Relaxing and non-serious though with elements of story. 2- An Octopath traveler-like game that serves as the backstory for the dwarf, orc, and some of their old friends and so on. Explores how the dwarf learned to appreciate all sorts of brewing and earn money. 3- Sequel to 2, but prequel to 1. A Phoenix Wright-like game navigating the world of dwarven politics as our dwarf struggles to adjust to life back home and his growing relationship with his orc GF. Said video here is the epilogue to the game. 4- A mobile game based on the liquors and so on, based on mixing and making things. Sorta like Fruit Ninja in terms of fun and so on. Introduces new character, child of dwarf and orc. 5- Dwarf and orc’s kid goes adventuring too in Octopath like game, with allies including the kids of their parents’ allies. Also show the marching of time and the growing developments of alcohol and the like.

It is honorable to shout rock and stone even in exile. For both rock and stone originate from earth, they give us much to aid our simple lives. The minerals we mine, the caves we reside in, and the ground upon which we stand and grow our fine ale. Some dwarves seem to forget that rock and stone means more beyond the surface level. In many high fantasy stories, a dwarf can tell the nature of stones and minerals just by touching them. I suppose if a gifted dwarf were to train that skill, it may extend to soil as well. Do you think he can read the PH of dirt just by walking over it?
@tiagobelo4965 Жыл бұрын
Most likely I'd say, in theory dwarves would be able to use the detection of PH changes to know their proximity to a sleeping/extinct volcano, which would be very mineraly rich, as such the skill would've been of use in regular dwarven life. Alongside that, the quantity of other minerals such as iron in the soil can have a great impact on the taste of grapes, so although he may not be able to distinguish the biomass in the soil without great training (I'd guess some other fantasy beings more attuned to nature and life, like some elves, might be able to) he'd be fully capable of finding more soil capable of matching his ideal taste

I've read somewhere that being a full time vintner, with your own fields and press, is a cycle of various battles to fight Father Time and make him work for the vintner, and that there is no true rest from it until the vintner passes on. I could see the logic in it: sales negotiations, logistics, brewing and aging, and probably the most time sensitive task of being a vintner: the ideal harvest time. It could happen at any point of the day, literally ANY point, could be morning, afternoon, evening, late night, or even wee hours. Harvesting the grapes too soon leaves you with subpar juice amount, too late and you'll miss the ideal taste and colour. Post harvest, there's preparing the land for the next seeding, which can also take up considerable time, and equipment maintenance. So yes, I find that growing your own grapes and making them into wine is a cycle of nonstop fights with Father Time.

The end of this, in which the dwarf is reflecting on growing his grapes, sounds like a scene from the Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline movie "French Kiss." The pair end up in his bedroom at the end of a tour of his family home. She spots a framework filled with things like dried mushrooms and fruit and herbs, soil samples, etc. and she asks about it. He explains that grape vines (his family has owned a vineyard for generations) absorb things from their environment as they grow, and these environmental factors are reflected in the wine made from those grapes. Of course, with Meg and Kevin in the movie, "French Kiss" is a romcom.

So the Dwarf King considers the Exiled Dwarf a "pervert" because he married an Orc?
@longwlenguyen4214 Жыл бұрын
And then has an entire library of the Books of Grudges dedicated to his name just like another legend Ragnar.

In a fair bit of fantasy, dwarves really don’t marry non-dwarves.

So you’re telling me it’s heresy for a dwarf to be in a relationship with a Beautiful Orc babe, yeah these people are not deserving of his liquor.😑🐱

I mean, if you think about musculature etc. orcs are the closest race to dwarves, they're just tall and have longer fangs.

There are literally no dwarf MCs in fantasy manga. I mean, there are some elves, but they're mostly some variant of humanoid or monster except for dwarves.

Oh, I loved the original source material "I was Banished from Dwarf Society for Marrying an Orc Girl, So I Recruited Her Warband Sisters and Built a Legendary Vineyard Harem, and Now My Brandy is So Good The Dwarf Kin is Pleading for Me to Come Back, but It's Too Late, I'm Already Living My Best Life!!" . . . It was truly a heartfelt story. Best read in months!

Just came back to rewatch this after another youtube channel made a dub for this comic as well, just yesterday. And I have to say : your dub is BY FAR (BY FAAAAAR) the better of the two. The comparison really made me appreciate how good your work is.
