Ganondorf turning to stone with the Master Sword sticking out of him gives me hardcore "pedistal" vibes. Like... we pull the Master Sword out of a carved down/whittled demon king in another game.

Bro, bokoblins probably lived in hyrule before hylians, the royal family probably made up the fact that they came from underground just so they can convice their people that its okay to kill em. Yeah ganon can summon them during a blood moon, but if you want to look at that as more than a gameplay mechanic, you'll need to explain why he is able to also summon the small robots inside the shrines.

The thing about Lorule, And “Evil” : I find it interesting how people automatically connect the inverted Triforce symbol of Demise’ blade to Lorule’s actual Triforce. The common misconception is that, being the parallel/counterpart of Hyrule, everything Lorule related is inherently Evil. This is simply not the case. What we need to understand is that there’s a difference between Dark and Evil. Same with Light and Good. Let me explain. Just because something is Darker/on the opposite end of the spectrum, i.e. Lorule, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s BAD. As seen in “A Link Between Worlds” more specifically the Title Screen, Lorule’s Triforce is that of a mirror to Hyrule’s. They reflect each other, both are very similar, yet the one thing that differentiates them is the consequences of the many Wars for the Triforce Lorule’s story took a darker turn. (Reasons explained in game - go play it!) Anyway, does this mean Lorule is the demonic, monstrous, Evil version of Hyrule? No, of course not. Hilda may have done some pretty terrible things, but that was just a consequence of the different outcomes of the Wars. Due to the fact the Triforce was freaking wished out of existence. ... So that’s Lorule. It isn’t Evil, just Darker. The opposite end of the spectrum to Hyrule. There are quite a few other examples of this “Dark but not Evil” philosophy throughout LOZ. Let’s see here... 1. OoT’s Shadow and Fire Temples. They certainly Dark, and eerie, and creepy, but Evil? Nah. Uhhh, they’re Temples. TEMPLES. They’re there to AID The Hero! And hell, all of OoT’s Temples are infested with enemies/monsters/parasites. These two aren’t anything special in that regard. 2. Majora’s Mask. As a whole. (Game and everything in it.) What is there to say? t’s Dark, but not Evil. Yes. Majora as an entity is very cunning, manipulative and insane, but even “it” isn’t anything like Demise’ curse/reincarnations. 3. Said Incarnations. Ganon, Ganondorf and everything in between. Now, I hear ya, you’re probably thinking that I’m gonna do that whole “Empathise with the Villains” thing. Well, kinda. Not really. Thus is my point. Similarly to some real life Religions, Demise (the Devil) is the leader of all Evil. The most Evil to the core manifestation of Evilly Evil. The top dog. The number 1. Anti-Good Guy. You get it. Now, as we know. Pure Evil-Bad-Dark-Neutral-Light-Tranquil-Pure Good is a spectrum. For Evil: Demise is the utmost Evil; nothing can top his...stuff. He’s the WORST. Everything underneath him/that comes after him, falls somewhere in the spectrum. Different levels and different motives etc. This includes underlings, reincarnations, servants and other Antagonists of the series. Moblins, Deku Babas, Zant, Midna, Ghirahim, Guardians, WW Ganondorf... (Go ahead, try and place a few guys) ... Well, I guess that’s all I have to say. Dark-Evil: Ain’t the same. Light-Good: Ain’t the same either. Lorule is cool. Spectrum is confusing and interesting at the same time. Demise is da big bad. Antagonists are complex and have stories too. ... Done. Apologies for errors/typos.

I agree, I never see Demise as the God of Lorule, I see him more as the Ruler of the Demon Tribe with the Goal to use the power of the Creator Goddesses to turn the entire Universe into a living hell where his Demons will run rampage, not even death would free the Mortals from suffering Because he would technically even have control over the afterlife. In Majora's Case he just crashes the Moon against the earth to nuke thw whole planet and killing everyone - at least they still have an Afterlife to go to where they reunitr with their loved ones Because Earth is destroyed but this wouldnt effect the Gods ... this type of Afterlife wouldnt exist when Demise is in Charge

There's a few other mentions of the Dark Realm! It originated in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link: "At that time, Ganon's underlings were calling up new allies from the Underworld, and were beginning to work devilishly towards the revival of Ganon." ~ Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, manual (page 12) "the beyond"/"realm of the dead" from Ocarina of Time as well, where Phantom Ganon came from and where Ganondorf was sealed in at the end, considering how he returns from the ground in The Wind Waker similarly to Demise, it makes me believe it's the same place. And the Hero of Men! "Long, long ago, evil spirits descended on the land of Hyrule." ~ The Minish Cap, manual (page 2) Otherwise, great work on the video! :)

Now, the Zelda cartoon from the Super Mario Super Show interpreted 'underworld' as "actual physical space underground in which monsters live." It's technically non-canon but too fantastic to ignore.

What is most likely that happened is when lorule destroyed their triforce it caused so much instability that it was connected to the dark realm from which Demise came but also ignited the three flames which he most likely used to corrupt a sacred sword and upgrade/forged into his dark sword but while that was happening the three golden goddesses tasked hylia to guard the hyrule triforce, and with lorule in such a chaotic state the layers that separated and connected it to hyrule where ripped opened allowing Demise to pass over and tasked ghirahim to build gates to the realm of darkness in different parts of the world and thus his campaign of destruction began.

Judging by what we know of Lorule, it seems that the history of both Hyrule and Lorule parallel each other. They both had wars for the triforce, and while Hyrule hid the triforce within the sacred realm and locked the entrance away, the Loruleans had multiple wars (due to not having a master sword to serve as the lock to the Sacred realm, which likely was never forged as Master Ore is present in Lorule, which might have been present in Hyrule and used to forge the Goddess Sword) and to end the conflicts, they opted to destroy it. The destruction of the Lorulean Triforce was after their establishment of their kingdom, which if both Hyrule and Lorule developed at the same time, Lorule Kingdom was founded long after Skyward sword, at the same time as Hyrule, in the era of Prosperity.
@calebflournoy82984 жыл бұрын
Then it might be possible that Demise forged his dark master sword to access the sacred realm much how link does in skyward sword but he could not access it as long as hylia guarded it thus he must have had his minions build the portals to the dark realm to allow more demons to enter the world thus causing and keeping any of the other gods or spirits busy and out of his way while spreading as much chaos as possible like what happened in the oracle series but on a global scale and hylia must have realized what he was doing thus had the three goddess flames and there respective temples/shrines built for when her chosen hero appeared he could forge the master sword as a way to defeat Demise if he was able to return to his true form and also to access the silent/sacred realm to claim the triforce before Demise could.

I like the theory, but I feel like the Japanese version using the same name for both 'Dark World' and 'Dark Realm' kind of undermines it. What if instead the "Dark realm' from Spirit Tracks is, like, an imitation of the original Dark World made by Malladus and/or the Evil train. It would be a self-contained pocket dimension around a powerful individual, kind of like an evil version of the Realm of the Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass. Onox and Veran could be from the regular old ALttP dark world IF they were summoned BEFORE Ganon fell, as a contingency plan.

the inverted cross is the cross of St Peter, who, according to legend, asked to be crucified upside down because he felt unworthy to die the same way as Christ i don't think the inverted triforce symbol is anything so complicated as a reference to Christianity vs Satanism, so much as just a simple "upside down means opposite".
@ZeldaLore2 жыл бұрын
That's true, although sometimes it is associated with satanism. The upside down crucifix on the other hand (cross with Jesus upside down) is blasphemous and directly tied to satanism. That was my main point, that the inverted Triforce was a blasphemous mockery of the power of the gods, and the gods themselves, which the demons hate with all their power
