I Agree With Wilbur, I Do Enjoy Coronado, but if Lovejoy dont like it themselves, or think its too similar to another song, then fair enough if they want to scrap it, as a songwriter myself, i usually scrap stuff that i think is too similar to other songs, and i feel its a bit disrespectful to Lovejoy to upload stuff that they dont want uploaded, if they wanted it to be on spotify or Apple Music or anywhere else, they would do it themselves.

Bro I gotchu dw. Go look up Evil by Interpool, they've got the same kind of pre-chorus there. I know this is kinda 8 months late, but either way, new music lol :) I tried finding more songs but none as close as that. A lot of them are either snippets or general vibes. If you're curious, I've listened them below (most of them are p famous/well known) Ruining my Pretending - SWMRS (kinda? not really but for some reason my brain has latched onto it) Television/ So Far So Good - Rex County Orange (parts of it are similar but it's a different vibe, so depends on your preference) Zombie - Jamie T (it starts slow, but trust me... it picks it up p quick) From the Ritz to the Rubble - Arctic Monkeys (it's the arctic monkeys, ofc it's good) Bubbles - Biffy Clyro (not really pre-chorus, more just general Lovejoy vibes... not sure why tho...)

honestly i listen to reuploads and covers of coronado idk if the reuploads are legal or not but theres two of each in my playlist bcs i accidentally got rlly hooked, i kinda did the exact same w main character syndrome but the issue is those r the songs i fall asleep to more specifically like i can fall asleep without them but i fall to sleep like half way through main character syndrome or coronado but i would not try and force lovejoy to release it, it would be so cool to see it remastered with different instrumental parts in their new album and it would be cool if they ~unwetted~ main character syndrome . my dream would be for the next album to have 1. wasted summer 2. fox holes 3. coronado 4. main character syndrome 5. diagetic little freak but i wouldnt get mad if they werent released like its lovejoys choice, they didnt release it for a reason, theyre the ones who do this for a living 🤦🏼‍♀️

I listened to Tell me you Know for the first time today and I thought it sounded so similar to Coronado amd after clicking on this video, it makes much more sense XD Please listen to Good Kid, they're so good. As an artist myself, I think it’s fine if not good to have scraped artworks. If I draw something that’s super inspired by an another artist (totally fine), not only is it almost etiquette but it’s not a piece I will likely go blasting all over the internet unless I used it felt it demonstrated an big improvement in my skills or there was a very specific reason to post it.

I mean I see his reasoning more clearly now. Back then it was all we were getting and I was obsessed with anything Lovejoy, whether vlogs, scrapped songs, you name it, I didn’t understand why he thought it was bad. Sure it was lacklustre, but that didn’t mean it had to be labelled terrible. But he’s absolutely right; Coronado isn’t great, Tell Me You Know is definitely the better one of the two, but I do recognise that it’s listenable, and that I do like it for what the fandom sees it as. But if Wilbur says he doesn’t like it then that’s that. Sure we might lose some things we could’ve had along the way, but if it’s scrapped early we won’t ever know the potential right? If the song feels just right for Lovejoy, then they’ll put all their effort and love into it. If it doesn’t, well there’s not a lot we can do to change their minds.
