This is a rendition of song that was created back in the 1920’s, I always thought of this version as being lighthearted and happy, and goofy as Tiny Tim intended it to be. We all know his rendition of loving in the moonlight that was used for SpongeBob. These renditions can be used in very creepy ways, but I will always remember Tiny Tim as being happy and fun loving when he sang it . RIP Tiny Tim

The musician known as Tiny Tim was an American singer, ukulele player, and musical archivist named Herbert Butros Khaury. Born on April 12, 1932, and passing away on November 30, 1996, he gained fame in the late 1960s with his distinctive falsetto voice and eclectic persona. Tiny Tim is best known for his hit single "Tiptoe Through the Tulips," which became a signature song for him. His performances often featured a mix of vaudeville, music hall, and early 20th-century pop standards, and he was known for his unique appearance, including long curly hair and eccentric clothing. Tiny Tim became a cultural icon and a regular guest on television shows, including "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson."

I remember a nice story about Tiny Tim. The city of Ottawa in Canada has an annual tulip festival. An organiser in the early 1980's thought it would be funny to have Tiny Tim involved in the festival. They bought him an airline ticket and gave him an modest honorarium as they weren't really expecting much from him beyond singing his song at one event as sort of a joke. Rather than just hang out, Tiny Tim went to almost every old-folks home in Ottawa and did free sing-along performances with the appreciative residents. He sang a collection of old folk songs popular in the World War 2 that were largely forgotten but that he was keeping alive. The nursing home residents absolutely loved the songs & him. He was the best & hardest-working ambassador the tulip festival ever had. He really did spread LOVE and kindness.

This song was created in 1920s. Tiny Tim's version was just a cover but it did gave him his break in the industry. If you read the story of his final performance, it's really very sad. Most of the audience already left, the band that was performing didn't know Tiny Tim's songs but he performed anyway. He died in that event and when his wife went home, their footprints on the snow was still there. It's really sad

People, Don't put him as the "creepy song guy" he's a great guy. He made a song called "living in the sunshine" which says "living in the sunshine, living in the sunshine, having a wonderful time" it says nothing creepy or weird to have the title. He just sang it in his voice, but sociality thinks it's creepy cause he sings strange and not what our songs sound like. Most kids are used to bad words cause of the songs they listen to. He sings perfectly fine, just people are mostly hater and try to find the dislikes. He was sweet I heard it, he didn't deserve to die like that, he died from a heart attack, on Nov. 30 he was 64. He was said he died after performing "tip-toe through the tulips" and died an hour later after the heart attack. He was a good guy, he doesn't deserve that title.

Yes, all he did was sing it in a “ girly” voice. As a child, we children used to sing that song all the time, I was 11 when Tiny Tim re popularized it. You can find this song being sung on Many 1930-1940’s cartoons. And I believe, if I’m not mistaken, even Betty Boop ‘sang ‘ it also. So it was a Very popular song , Way Back… Where is Mr Peebody, and his ‘Wayback machine’ when you need it?

This song was written by Nick Lucas. Tiny actually got him some mid century recognition because of that song. It’s one of the most beautiful songs ever created if I’m being honest in my opinion.

Im a busy mother of 4. I work full time. I make it a point to worship jesus by singing while im cooking dinner everyday. It helps me with my anxiety. It quiets it. Then i start seeing and hearing the lord. He always lets me know he is with me. I try to see as god would from above. I believe we omit a light when we worship. It keeps the enemy away. He cant go onto the light.

My grandpa was friends with him. He told me that Tiny Tim would never eat in front of anyone. If they invited him for dinner he would sit at the table with them but would always go into another room to eat or take the food home with him.

Tiptoe Through the Tulips was written in 1929 and has been played and recorded by multiple artists. Tiny Tim made it popular again in 1968 on Rowan and Martin's Laugh In. Rest in peace.
