Linda's story at the shelter was heartbreaking. She was once deeply loved by her owner, a man who passed away unexpectedly. His wife, unable to cope with the memories or perhaps out of disdain for the past, callously surrendered Linda to the shelter because she was a reminder of her husband.

My schnauzer had a soft tissue sarcoma on his shoulder at 13 years. Had it removed and he lived to 16 without any other treatment. The cancer did not kill him it was his heart. So pleased you are giving this girl a chance. I will pray for her.

Let’s all get behind this beautiful dog, she and let’s adopt need us. Donate in the name of a loved one who has survived or sadly didn’t make it. Linda ended up in this position because as usual humans let her down. Most of us have had a pet who we adored more than anything, Linda deserves a chance there’s still a lot of life left in her, she’s not sick she’s happy to be alive let’s give her a chance, let’s not be like person who abandoned her and show our compassion for a life worth saving. Maybe it upset her too much to see a daily reminder of her dead husband. Or maybe her husband was cruel and belittled her all their married life. At least she didnt abandon the dog on the street.

She didn't abandon her on the street but "dumped" her there like a useless burden in the kennel. She could at least try to find another family instead of placing the responsibility for the poor dog on others. there are many stories like this where the poor animal pays the price... in this case it was lucky. I repeat, I try not to express too many judgements... even if some ideas have come to mind... Linda has a tumor and I can understand that not everyone is willing to spend money... on my part if one of my animals was ill and we had to spend money on visits and medicines and operations, both my family and I were ready (perhaps saving and not spending elsewhere for a while). If we decide to bring an animal into our life we ​​must do everything for its well-being.

When my mother was young in the 1930's she recalled an uncle dying of cancer. The word was only whispered. When I was growing up voices were dropped and it was 'the big C'. As if just saying the word was bad luck somehow. Luckily today people have lost that superstition. Many cancers are now treatable. Especially if they are treated in time. I am so pleased you are treating Linda.❤❤❤❤

I was talking about income before it went away. Since she had kept her 2 dogs, she didn't want lindA. She didn't hate him but he did give her a family and a place to live. Unhappy marriage. Maybe. I'm guessing he gave her an allowance. She depended on him for income. After he was gone, she wasn't spending anything on him or his,but maybe the kids. I just don't understand y ppl don't come into these sights and explain or defend their actions. They don't think animals have souls is all I can guess. EITHER WAY. KARMA, KARMA, KARMA. ASAP.

Her husband died if they had Life Insurance, she gets money for burial. A person has to try to do to save their pet.Even even without her husband's money, she should be able to care for the animal.Because there are such things funds called care credit.That's what I use for my animals.I'm on a Fix income

I am so sad to hear how this sweet little lady was just dumped at the shelter.. How could she do that to a sweet dog who expresses so much love to everyone? This little dog is so adorable I fell in love with this sweet girl. How sad to have her dumped at a shelter so soon after losing her beloved master. The wife must have not cared much for her husband at the end if it was me I would have held on to this pup as my husband loved her. Ir was just cruel of her to dump her when she was grieving the loss of her master. I pray that all goes well for this adorable dog. She will live for awhile after her surgery and treatment I hope she finds a good home with loving people. People don't think animals have feelings and that is so wrong. Sadly stories like with Linda are all too common that is why we must make sure our pets are in a safe loving home in case something happens to us. My friend had two cats he just loved, and one of them just loved me! I would gladly have taken him, and perhaps the other one when he passed away. He had three children, so I assumed one of them would take the cats. The day after he passed I called his daughter to inquire about the cats. She told me they had taken them to be put down as no one wanted them. I guess a vet did it for them. I was so angry those cats were young they could have found wonderful homes with a lot of life left. What made me the maddest was the daughter said "were all animal lovers!"
