Greetings from someone who was born and raised in Newfoundland. The vast majority of Newfoundlanders make their living from the fisheries and must face the vicious North Atlantic pretty much 12 months of the year! The North Atlantic is most unforgiving and every year lives are lost and it is in such times that we as a people must help whatever way we can because a family has lost a treasured bread winner! So when even strangers show up totally unannounced we only know how to help. So I would encourage all to receive that stranger as a family member because you do not know when tragedy will come to your door!

one couple from the plains met in Gander and ended up getting married! I think she was from the United States and he was from England.

They closed down the schools and many of the high school kids helped take care of the passengers

Good heavens this man keeps saying would you do this. Yes I know people round where I live would, and how I know it is that it’s already happened to me both as a someone needing help and someone able to help. I honestly think this man has a very dark view on life
