I mean they the ones on the ground are doing their jobs searching for threats and covering trump. The sniper team responded pretty quickly as I’m assuming they were caught up looking further out for threats coming closer but unbeknownst to them the threat was already there. Also from what I’m aware of that was an officer staging ground, I’ve also seen a ladder to the roof somewhat hidden away. While I think the secret service are doing their jobs well there is either incompetency involved or they’re understaffed(I think they should’ve had a second sniper team so it’s not just one covering the full 360 degrees). This doesn’t just seem to be a mess up by the ss but also the local police. Idk this is all so sketchy with the videos of people yelling to police and ss about a gunman for like 2-3 minutes before any shots fired.

How is it that immediately after Trump and others were shot, there are several unknown people still surrounding the the tactical layer of security holding up black objects in semi-shooting stance, while circling to stay off the X? While others are ducking down, to just keep filming in this situation is beyond belief. This is the world we live in these days? What an absolute nightmare trying to protect anyone from more rounds while being flanked by unknown individuals holding up black objects. Say what you want about the perimeter breach and snipers but the closest layer that jumped on the stage with rounds being fired, they did an incredible job in an extremely stressful and dynamic environment. Think about this stuff kids. During an active shooting with rounds flying, you’re always concerned about anyone that is still standing up straight because this goes against your natural human reaction to protect yourself. Great footage but damn man is it worth your life? Just mind blowing. May God help Us All 🙏🏼! 🇺🇸

A media pass and a crazy amount of background checking that goes into it to begin with. Let alone a rigorous checking of equipment on the personal before being in that area. Source: My uncle use to work for NBC as a journalist and for years went to the White House especially through the Bush administration. I literally just texted him and asked him as I was myself. I was more confused on "what if a media member wanted to do something to the president?". Each major media outlet typically has the same crew or photographers following the president. Wouldn't shock me if each one of those photographers that close are near Trump during public or even private political events like this pretty much year round. My uncle was around Bush Jr. so much as a media member, Bush referred to him as "Dunkin" because my uncle always had Dunkin Donuts coffee everyday because he hated the coffee inside the White House. He had to scan his coffee through 2 different metal detectors to get it in. I guess Bush that it was funny how much my uncle hated the White Houses free coffee for the media members. Random tangent of a side story there, my bad.
