I just found one of these in my 10gallon betta tank. I have had it running for 3 months and just saw him for the first time a few days ago. Ive never seen him climb the glass yet but I never see him during the day.

I've always wanted to see how these snails give birth. I ordered 100 juvenile and adults. I dived them up into separate quarantine containers by size, so I saw all the snails there were at that time. After an hr or so, most of the snails were at the surface. I worried but water parameters were fine and thought they just needed to acclimate. I woke up the next morning to most of the adults buried in the sand. But I saw a bunch of babies of varying sizes. Some seemed too big to be new, but they definitely weren't there when I put them in the tank almost 1 by 1. Every now and then I will find some baby snails, but with some being super tiny and more like the size you would think they would come out as.lol I have never been able to catch a birth, and cannot find a single video of it either. Anyway, this was a great video. Tfs!

Damn, I really enjoyed this video. Explained alot. For instance, why my single mts is not breeding in my jar which was similar to yours and why they're breeding in well-filtered tanks lf mine. The thing which i still dont get is why do they go to the surface and, well, surf.

Malaysian trumpet snails are not actually hermaphrodites. They are either male or female.
