What about this…People air dried their hair for centuries there were no hair dryers. They had long beautiful thick hair in all nationalities.

It’s wild to think letting wet hair dry as it does naturally is a problem. As long as it’s stretched it’s fine

Hi Karen..I air dry my hair after my weekly wash/conditioning process. I've used the hair dryer to blow out, flat iron, and trim my ends as needed, and that occured twice in 2024. Granted, my hair is salt/pepper, thin (CCCA issues), natural, short, and uneven in a few sections, so in my mind, there is no need to blow dry weekly. I have very low porosity hair, and it normally takes 30-45 minutes to air dry. However, I use the hooded dryer on alternate weeks for the deep conditioning process, and my hair has grown a lot in the past year. Happy with the current process and will keep it going!

Hello Ms. Karen excellent information. I usually let my hair air dry but I plan to blow dry it after my next wash & condition day.🥀🌻

I love air drying; been doing it for at least 20 years. It was great when I was younger, but I notice more breakage now since I’m older. I may try getting a hooded dryer and see what happens. Tfs.

My wash day routine takes 4 hours, I’m trying to make it faster but it takes me that long to work in sections to keep my hair stretched while I wash, condition, deep condition, and detangle. Is it bad for my hair to be wet for that long during that process?

Hey Mrs.karen..is it true that I should be using “hair cream” when blow drying hair than using a spray for thermal pertectant? I don’t blow dry my hair often at all ..only every three months when I go get my hair trimmed..I do use “chi 44iron guard” is that ok? I’m asking this because I just seen a video of a man stylist saying to use a cream when blow drying hair. Help me I don’t wanna damage my natural hair I’m trying to take care of even if it’s not that often. Thank you. Oh the guy “Blow out professor” was the one mentioning the thermal protection w/cream.

I'm high porosity, fine, low density. Heat leaves my hair like straw, no matter what I put in before drying. Even with the Revair dryer. I only air dry. My hair is dry within an hour🤷🏾

I dont use any heat on my afro natural fine hair. Fine strands tangle up. I'm considering using a hair dryer to stretch it as quick as possible. Air drying and stretching hair and keeping it detangled is a wash day nightmare. Thats all i know

My hair is the thickest ever and that's why I cut ALL off. I must wet my hair to even get a comb through it. Then I moisturize and seal. I keep my hair no more than 2 inches and of course, there is mad shrinkage

I will continue do gentle towel dry followed by air dry. Blow drying would make sense if you’re trying to seal in proteins or whatever with the heat. Keeping the hair damp constantly is not good. Also a scientist from K18 says the water will turn into hydrogen peroxide if you leave it to air dry / this is preposterous in my opinion. The rev air looks clumsy.. those hair brush type dryers look ok
